Migos rapper Offset honors slain cousin Takeoff with huge back tattoo
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Migos rapper Offset has left no stones unturned to honor his deceased bandmate and cousin Takeoff. On April 15, he took to his Instagram account to unveil a massive back tattoo with Takeoff’s face in it. The giant tattoo covers his entire back along with several illustrations apart from the ‘Stir Fry’ singer’s face.
“Love you 4L & after 🚀🤍🕊️,” captioned the 31-year-old singer, whose real name is Kiari Kendrell Cephus, on his Instagram while sharing two images of the body ink.

This is, however, not the first time that the musician has commemorated Takeoff following his tragic death in November 2022. In November, Offset took to his social media to pen down a long emotional note along with sharing a carousel of images and videos.
The shocked rapper, who was still coming to terms with the bereavement, captioned the post, “Dear Take, doesn’t feel real posting you like this….This still doesn’t feel like reality,” before adding that he was at a loss for words to describe the pain, “I’ve been searching for the right words to say, but there aren’t any that will suffice. Until we meet again.” He concluded it with “Rest In Power. I love you 🙏🏾 🕊️ 🚀.”
How did Takeoff die?
Takeoff died on November 1, 2022, when he was fatally shot in his head and torso when an argument broke out in a gaming arena in Houston. He was 28 during that time. Takeoff, whose real name was Kirshnik Khari Ball, was present there in the game with his uncle and bandmate Quavo. However, Quavo was unhurt in the shooting following the argument at the bowling alley, reports Page Six and TMZ.
A man named Patrick Xavier Clark was arrested in early December and was suspected to have murdered the singer. However, early in January, the man was released from jail but ordered to stay on house arrest with a GPS attached reports People.
'OFFSET D GOAT.... YOU ROCK'
The music industry looked overwhelmed at this sweet gesture by Offset. Takeoff's brother, rapper Lingo Mufasa welcomed the tattoo warmly as he commented, "Do it for take 🚀❤️♾️." Another two rappers LL Cool J and Blac Youngsta commented with a slew of emojis, "🙏🏾🕊️💪🏾" and "🤲🏾🚀" respectively. Jim Jones, another fellow rapper and record producer, welcomed the move as he wrote, "Big take." Rapper Fabolous too reacted as he commented, "🚀🔥🙏🏾." R&B artis Art Rushiti exclaimed, "Wooow goosebumps🥺❤️."
