LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Rapper Offset is struggling to get life back to normalcy even after a month has gone by since his nephew, Takeoff, was shot dead. In his recent tweet, he didn’t hold back from expressing how he really feels about it, “In a dark place.” The rapper also used a middle finger emoji in his message on Thursday, December 8, as he mourns the death of a fellow Migos member. The ‘Last Memory’ singer was shot dead outside of a downtown Houston bowling alley. Offset has been remembering his talented nephew for several weeks now, and his recent tweet comes amid Cardi B revealing how difficult it has been for her to make her husband smile again.

"We living our life normally, but deep down inside our hearts have been so heavy," Cardi said in a since-deleted voice note. "I feel like if I talk about the incident so desensitized, I feel like if we talk about how we really feel or what motherf--kers really been going through, y'all will start saying, 'Oh, sympathy.' And we don't want no sympathy. We ain't no charity case. But no lie, I have been feeling so hopeless trying to make my husband happy." The ‘WAP’ singer in detail shared how she’s not ‘in the mood’ to be ‘playing around’ online, and the family’s grieving process is real and ongoing.

"Trying to make him crack a smile, seeing him randomly cry, see him trying to distract his mind completely, schedules been changing, trying to keep up with work after everything that he's been going through these past couple of weeks," said Cardi said. Takeoff was one of the three Atlanta hip-hop trio Migos, which comprised Quavo and Offset. The group was honored by his city at the State Farm Arena at the Celebration of Life event on November 11. The most senior Migos member had since kept sharing Takeoff clips on his social media platforms. Other than several short video footage of his nephew, he has changed his display profile to accommodate Takeoff in it, reports People.

He paid tribute to the ‘Casper’ rapper with a heart-melting Instagram post, where he opened up about his feelings. He wrote, "I wish I could hug you one last time. Laugh one last time. Smoke one [sic] last time. Perform one last time. I know someone with a soul like yours is in heaven now. I hope you can see how much we love you and miss you. You have left a hole in my heart that will never be filled."

After Takeoff’s death, he did his first gig at Miami club E11EVEN, as part of Art Basel, and said, "We're doing this for my brother," while performing hit numbers like ‘Bad and Boujee’, and ‘Clout’.
