'Most awesome first lady': Michelle Obama surprises fans during Bruce Springsteen concert alongside Kate Capshaw and Patti Scialfa
BARCELONA, SPAIN: Bruce Springsteen's fans were left in awe as Michelle Obama surprised everyone by joining The Boss as his backing singer during a concert in Barcelona. The audience was thrilled as the former US First Lady sang and played the tambourine with Kate Capshaw, Steven Spielberg's wife, and shared a microphone with Patti Scialfa, Springsteen's wife and E Street bandmate.
Springsteen and his wife have been long-time friends with the Obamas, and have maintained a close relationship over the years. The musician initially met former US President Barack Obama on the campaign trail in 2008 and later performed at his fundraising events. Currently, Springsteen is on a tour of Europe. The Obamas traveled to Barcelona on Thursday, April 27, and later met up with the Spielbergs and Springsteens at Amar, the five-star restaurant located in the Palace Hotel.

In 2016, the musician received the Presidential Medal of Freedom, and in 2021, he and the former president co-hosted a podcast called 'Renegades: Born in the USA.' Despite his hit song 'Born in the USA' being played at political rallies by Donald Trump, Springsteen, who is a friend of Obama, opposed the former president's successor.
