LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Michael J Fox is feeling blessed it seems! 'No regrets': Michael J Fox has 'no time for self pity' after battling Parkinson's for 30 years

In an interview, the actor who is battling Parkinson’s, said, "And Meg Joan was there. So many people. It means a lot to me because friendship means a lot." He then gushed as he said, "Just the fact that they would want to" come instead of paying an obligatory visit blew his mind, as per People.

‘Still: A Michael J Fox Movie’ which will stream on Apple TV+ on Friday, May 12, narrates the tale of Fox’s life starting from his childhood in Canada. Chronicling his gaining fame in Hollywood after ‘Family Ties’, the movie moves forward with his struggle with Parkinson’s disease. The film directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker, Davis Guggenheim, also shows the actor’s blissful marital life with his wife of 35 years, Tracy Pollan, 62, and the four children they share, Sam, 33, twins Aquinnah and Schuyler, 28, and Esme, 21.

After the event, Tracy Pollan shared a few snaps from the event thanking the friends who attended the screening, with the caption, "A very special night surrounded by family and friends for the screening of STILL @lincolncenter Streaming on @appletv starting May 12 @michaelsimon64."

‘It's really an unusual film’

Speaking candidly about how his viewers reacted to the film, Fox narrated in the same interview, "All my friends and family, they recognize me in it, they recognize the kids in it, and they recognize Tracy in it and they love it.” He then added about the film, "It's really an unusual film. It really brings people together in a way that I feel good about given how hard we're pushing against each other and how furiously we're pulling apart as a society.”

He also felt blessed as his loved ones allowed the intrusion of cameras into their life saying, "They all gave me their permission. And then, at various times, they retracted their permission." However, the Emmy-winning actor felt it was much more difficult for Pollan as she "is a much more private person, so I think it's difficult for her." He adds though, "The most important thing is she thinks it's a true reflection of our lives and of me, and I think she likes it a lot."

‘The Secret of My Success’ star also added that he had given full creative freedom to his director to decide on the contents of the film as he said, "I turned my life over to Davis Guggenheim. He picked the narrative he wanted to take," before adding, "I didn't want to do his version of the movie minus my objections to the movie. I wanted it to be real for him."

‘I think we really listen to each other’

The ‘Designated Survivor’ actor, who is appreciative of the little joys of life, earlier talked heartily about the reasons behind the success of his marriage to Tracy Pollan. In a previous interview, he said, "I think we really listen to each other, we are there for each other when we need each other.” he also highlighted the importance of “space” in a relationship as he continued, "And then we also give each other space when that's needed. Just feeling off of what's needed at the moment and trying to be there," as per People. "Tracy gives our family everything that we need. Any good in our family, anything good that we do, comes from her," added Fox about his wife of 35 years.
