It's that time of the week again, Metallica Mondays, when everyone's favorite hard rock/thrash metal band, Metallica, pulls out all the stops to ensure that their fans are well entertained while stuck at home during this coronavirus lockdown period. This special initiative features an entire live-streamed concert on their YouTube and Facebook pages every Monday night at 8 pm ET and it will remain on demand throughout the remainder of this week.

This week, the four horsemen, aka guitarist/vocalist James Hetfield, drummer Lars Ulrich, guitarist Kirk Hammett and bassist Robert Trujillo will be showcasing their legendary gig filmed at Olympiapark München in Munich, Germany on May 31, 2015. It featured quite a few old-school numbers, including some songs that are rarely played live.

Metallica also encouraged their millions of fans to generously donate to the ongoing COVID-19 relief efforts (if they could afford it) and help support the healthcare workers who were battling the coronavirus pandemic on the frontlines. Besides this, any financial donations made during the show will help provide meals, personal protection equipment, and other relief aid worldwide.

The band posted this note on their official website as part of the Metallica Mondays announcement: "While streaming is free, we will be hosting simultaneous fundraisers on each platform benefiting All Within My Hands. Your donation will help address food insecurities and medical supply shortages during the current COVID-19 crisis as AWMH is working with partners at Feeding America and Direct Relief."

So if you're a fan of some hard-hitting thrash metal tunes, make sure you tune in every Monday to catch a live Metallica concert and do your best to donate as well, it's all for a good cause. You can subscribe to Metallica's YouTube channel to make sure you don't miss the next few concerts that will air every Monday.
