Each year, the event has a theme that aligns with the museum's exhibition, which is revealed on the night of the event. The theme for this year's event was a tribute to the late creative director of Chanel, Karl Lagerfeld.

Song Hye-Kyo

Known as the "human Chanel," Jennie did not disappoint with her outfit for the evening. She wore a vintage white mini dress from Chanel's 1990 Autumn collection, adorned with a white rose and black ribbon belt, perfectly tailored to her petite figure. Completing her look, BLACKPINK's Jennie Kim wore black tights and heels and accessorized with opera gloves, a ribbon choker, and a headband braid that complemented her long hair flowing down her back.

Following his participation in the Coachella 2023 line-up, GOT7's Jackson Wang graced his first-ever Met Gala red carpet wearing an all-black ensemble. Wang paid homage to Karl Lagerfeld's signature style by wearing a head-to-toe Louis Vuitton outfit. Fresh from his concert in Vancouver, Wang looked stunning as he strutted the Met Gala 2023 red carpet.

To emulate Lagerfeld's iconic white hair, Wang dyed his hair in an ashy color. Instead of a traditional German tuxedo, he opted for a black military jacket from Louis Vuitton, which he paired with black, form-fitting trousers and sleek black shoes.

To further mirror the legendary designer's style, GOT7's Jackson Wang donned Lagerfeld's signature accessories: black gloves and sunglasses.
