Melanie C self-titled album: Release date, concept, tracklist and all the pre-buzz around former Spice Girl's eighth solo LP

We all know Melanie C as the former member of the much-acclaimed all-girl pop group Spice Girls. However, she has been consistently releasing music after the squad got disbanded in 1999. The talented vocalist, who now pursues a solo career, is all set to drop her eighth solo album titled ‘Melanie C’.

The 46-year-old crooner had first announced the album earlier in July via her official Twitter account. She had posted, “I’m incredibly excited to announce that my new, self-titled album, ‘Melanie C’ will be out on October 2nd. Pre-order my new album (Digital & Physical): http://melan.ie/melaniecmusic There are loads of great bundles available on my website now!”⠀

Release Date


Melanie C, who also goes by the name of Mel C, will be releasing her self-titled album on October 2, 2020, via her labels Virgin Records and Red Girl Media.

Concept


Talking about the concept of the album, the singer had shared the official poster of her new record on the day of the announcement via Twitter. In the poster, Mel C can be seen decked up in an all-white suit. There are multiple images of the singer in the same attire but with different poses and are also blurred.

If we discuss the few songs she has released from the album, it is clear that Melanie C has taken pop, bass and synth-heavy melodies into the spotlight. We can assume the new album can be self-exploratory.

Tracklist


Melanie C’s new album will keep her loyal fans entertained with a total of 10 songs. Singles namely ‘Who I Am,’ ‘Blame It On Me,’ and ‘In And Out Of Love’ have already been released with an intention to promote the album.
