Melania Trump trolled for wearing Michael Kors trench on campaign trail: 'Why does she dress like Fidel Castro?'

First Lady Melania Trump looked stunning as she hit the campaign trail for her husband and POTUS Donald Trump while making a stop in Pennsylvania on Tuesday, October 27. Melania was seen sporting a military-esque trench coat while heading to Pennsylvania where she gave a speech, Breitbart reported. Melania wore a trench coat designed by Michael Kors which sells for around $250. The coat has some classic details and gold hardware. 

The trench coat is similar to her Alexander McQueen military-inspired look that she had sported at the Republican National Convention speech. The mother of one was seen sporting the Michael Kors trench which she had paired with Saint Laurent sunglasses and a pair of metallic bronze Christian Louboutin stilettos.

In another rare glimpse, a White House staffer was seen carrying Melania's Louis Vuitton luggage which is tagged FLOTUS.

During her speech at the rally, which is her first since 2019, she attacked the Democrats as well as the media in her first solo appearance at a Trump rally in 2020. She was accompanied by former White House counselor Kellyanne Conway to Atglen in Pennsylvania.

According to the White House pool report, Melania was seen smiling and waving at the crowd but did not answer any questions. Neither she nor Conway were seen wearing face masks while on the tarmac and on the plane.

Many people who attended the rally were seen in face masks, but there was a lack of social distancing. Before she left Washington, she had taken to her Twitter handle to say, "Looking forward to visiting the beautiful state of Pennsylvania today. The people of that great state know President @realdonaldtrump will always fight to keep Americans safe, secure, & prosperous."

However, the First Lady was trolled on Twitter over her choice of dress. One said, "What's with the disgusting military uniform again?" Another said, "Why does she always dress in military green like Fidel Castro." One more added, "Why does she insist on dressing like 3rd world dictators? That can’t be a coincidence." One more said, "And she seems to be wearing her favorite jacket." One user quipped, "Is this the latest fashion or is she signaling to us to prepare for a coup? Second time now for olive drab. She reminds me of this." Another said, "I just want to know why she dresses like Fidel Castro."

Melania's speech did not really sit well with social media users either. One such user shared, "Disgraceful and totally out of touch with the reality of 225000 deaths and 425 children in cages ripped from their parents arms. I guess that is what would be expected from a racist birther with no soul or moral principles."

Another added, "Melania said you can trust my husband ?? The same guy thats had 3 wives and cheated on all 3 of them including her ! ! Wonder if is she realizes how stupid that sounds??" 

While Trump has been out on a campaign trail, moving between battleground states such as Nebraska, Nevada, Wisconsin and Michigan, Melania has been confined to the White House because of the coronavirus pandemic. She also tested positive for the virus earlier in October. 

When she spoke on Tuesday's rally, she made it clear that she is fully supportive of her husband and like her husband, she also slammed rival candidate Joe Biden. She slammed Biden, the media and Democrats who she said were "wasting taxpayer dollars on a sham impeachment" while Trump worked to protect the country from the killer virus.

She said, "They cared more about removing our elected president. Meanwhile, I watched Donald continue to work hard to keep people informed and calm, to protect our economy, and make hard and unpopular decisions to do all he could to keep us all safe. This sham was led by (the) opposition and their display of hatred is on display to this day."

While describing Trump she said, "Before my husband decided to run for president, the media loved him because they saw the man that I see every day – someone tough, successful, and fair. A man who sees potential in everyone he meets, no matter their gender, race, religion, or sexual orientation. A man who has a very big heart and a great sense of humor. Donald loves helping people, and he loves seeing those around him, and his country, succeed."
