Meghan's name is 'Rachel' and her occupation is 'Princess of the United Kingdom' on Archie's birth certificate
Fans and followers of Meghan Markle are very confused over one very significant detail seen on her son Archie's birth certificate, Meghan Markle's official occupation.
The official document that was issued to Archie Mountbatten-Windsor when he was born, provides details not just about when and where he was born but also gives information about his parents Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
All birth certificates are part of public records which means everyone can see it. Taking advantage of this access, eagle-eyed fans quickly found out Meghan's real name, the place where Archie was born, as well as Meghan Markle's official occupation.
Meghan has listed her job as "Princess of the United Kingdom" which confused many fans given that the Queen had given her title of Duchess on her wedding day, the Daily Star reports. As per royal protocol, Meghan is technically a princess but not in the name she used publicly. Via her marriage to Prince Harry, she for sure is Her Royal Highness Princess Henry of Wales.
She was also listed as Rachel on the document that left fans baffled as no one knew that this was her birth name because Meghan's parents Doria Ragland and estranged father Thomas Markle have called her Meghan since she was born.
As per sources, even all of her friends call her Meghan and not Rachel. Rachel also happens to be the name of the character she had played in the show 'Suits' before she had married Prince Harry. On the other hand, Harry's real name has been listed as Henry.
During the weeks leading up to the birth of Archie, the couple had chosen to keep the location of his birth a secret. On the certificate, it is listed that Meghan delivered Archie at the private Portland hospital which is located in Westminster.
The hospital costs around £20,000 and also offers luxury options to the mothers-to-be which include food like lobster and champagne. Harry and Meghan had broken royal tradition when they had announced that they would be keeping the birth of Archie private.
Harry and Meghan have currently settled in LA, California with baby Archie after stepping down as senior members of the royal family. We had earlier reported that Meghan is said to be 'heartbroken' that she cannot meet her mother Doria Ragland though they are just 10 miles apart amid the coronavirus pandemic.
As a result of the COVID-19 outbreak, the pair has been unable to visit Meghan's mother Doria Ragland. A source shared, "Meghan is absolutely heartbroken - after all, one of the main reasons she decided to live in LA was to be near her mum," The Sun reported.
"Because of her age, Doria obviously has to be careful and Meghan and Harry are sticking rigidly to all formal guidelines when it comes to coronavirus. They've been WhatsApping and FaceTiming almost daily but obviously it's not the same," the source continued.
The couple has been keeping a low profile and is reportedly losing out on major money-making opportunities. Although the no-longer-royal couple was supposed to reveal their new brand and charity this week on Instagram, they have currently delayed those plans amid the pandemic meaning that they would have to keep their money-making plans on hold too for now.
