MONTECITO, CALIFORNIA: Features writer Allison P Davis interviewed the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan Markle for 'The Cut' magazine. The US magazine was caught deleting and reposting a tweet, which originally read, 'Presenting our Fall fashion issue Cover star: Meghan Markle' to 'Presenting our Fall Fashion issue Cover star: Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex.'

Writer Allison P Davis noted that Meghan was trying to produce herself like she was on TV. The Duchess, when she did not answer a question during her interview, asked her to transcribe her 'sounds' instead. Meghan Markle told the interviewer to transcribe the 'guttural sounds' she was making during her sit-down chat for the Fall Fashion issue of 'The Cut' which is part of New York magazine.

Features writer Allison P Davis revealed that she was struck by the Duchess of Sussex acting like a 'reality TV producer' when profiling her for the magazine's fall fashion cover. Davis felt that the California-based royal did not answer one of her questions at one point and instead "suggested how I might transcribe the noises she's making." Meghan then turns to her, referring to herself in the third person, and suggests the interviewer writes, "She's making these guttural sounds, and I can't quite articulate what it is she's feeling in that moment because she has no word for it; she's just moaning."

This is not the first time the Duchess has used the word "guttural" to describe how she is feeling. The Spectator questioned why she used the word to vocalize how she and her husband, Prince Harry, felt about the news that Roe vs Wade had been overturned. "His reaction last week was guttural, like mine," Meghan had said. The magazine interpreted her statement, saying, "if we are taking her at her word then both her and the Duke were 'growling' but she probably meant 'visceral'." It continued, saying, "If you are using the term 'guttural sounds', the Collins Dictionary and the Spectator notes that you are talking about a 'harsh sound produced at the back of a person's throat'."

During the Cut interview, the Duchess also said that she and Harry were "happy" to leave Britain and were "upsetting the dynamic of the hierarchy just by existing" before they quit as senior royals. The New York freelance writer also sees Meghan as directing herself in the interview like a 'Bachelor' TV producer as the former actress, who has had a load of media training, does not "hold back". She dubs herself "post royal" since Meghan and Harry stepped down as working Royals. Davis adds, "She's flinging open the proverbial doors to her life; as any millennial woman whose feminism was forged in the girlboss era would understand, she has taken a hardship and turned it into content."

However, social media trolls were not apologetic when they slammed Meghan for her interview and accused her, as always, of playing the victim and trashing the Royal family. One user wrote, "I don't dislike Meghan Markle because she's 'ambitious' I dislike Meghan Markle because she's a nasty woman." Another user points out, how the magazine changed its title on Twitter from Meghan Markle to add Duchess of Sussex, "She’s done it again US magazine deletes and reposts Meghan Markle tweet to add ‘Duchess of Sussex’ title. #MeghanMarkle" Another tweeted, "Meghan Markle did what she needed to do."

"Meghan Markle only worked 72 days in her royal duties. But she works 365 on self promotion and damaging the institution of monarchy. As an American I am deeply apologetic and embarrassed, British cousins" Another tweet read. Trolls even pointed out to say Meghan Markle and Amber Heard have been to the same acting school, "Looks like Amber Heard and Meghan Markle went to the same acting school! Lessons included: Lying 101, how to be a professional narcissist, shedding crocodile tears on cue, and playing the victim till the cows come home!" One user remarked, "If Meghan Markle hates the royal family and the British press so much, why does she continue to talk about them 2 years on from Megxit? Ah, that’s right. It’s because that’s the only way she can make money and remain relevant."

At another point, Meghan tells the writer: "Your eye contact is good. You're, like, looking into my soul." While Davis writes she was "stammering out an apology," Meghan said, "I feel it. It's good. I'm, like, so excited to talk." Davis also claimed that what the couple asked for when they wanted financial freedom was not "reinventing the wheel". Meghan and Harry are to arrive in Manchester on September 5 for their first visit since June.
