Meghan Markle has once again come under fire for using her royal title in a video while reading out loud her children's book 'The Bench.' The Duchess of Sussex introduced herself with her name and title before and after speaking about her published book in the video filmed for Brightly Storytime, and which has angered many royal fans. 

At the start of the video, she was heard introducing herself, saying, "Hi and welcome to Brightly Storytime. I am Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, and today I am going to read you my book called 'The Bench.' This is illustrated by Christian Robinson and I asked him to do something special for me and use watercolours, which isn't the normal medium he works with but he did it to make this extra special. I hope you love the pictures as much as you love the words. I wrote this as a poem for my husband and our son, Archie and then turned it into a book so you can enjoy it too."

The video then cut to the former 'Suits' actress reading her work while the beautifully illustrated pages appeared on the screen. 'The Bench' was released on June 8 by Penguin Random House. Meghan's work quickly became a sensation in the US. Within a week it made it to the top of The New York Times Bestseller list for children’s picture books.

'Duchess of Sussex should not profit from her given title!'

Queen Elizabeth II bestowed upon Prince Harry and Meghan their titles as a wedding present in May 2018. After they quit as senior royals last year, they were stripped of their HRH styles but were allowed to continue to use their Duke and Duchess titles. After the clip of her book reading went viral on social media, Meghan received considerable backlash from people who condemned her for using her title commercially.

"This is the one who thought she will be the next Diana Oh and did she introduce herself as 'I am Meghan, the Duchess'? Yeah she doesn't care for titles. She wants to live an ordinary life. She doesn't use her title and doesn't cash in on royal," one of them said while another noted, "Meghan Markle profits from her title even after dramatically breaking away from the royal family and slandering them to Oprah. Can we talk about that?"

A third remarked, "She may have been allowed to retain her title but she was forbidden to use her title by the queen herself! This proved to me that Meghan Markle is a nasty piece of work who has an ulterior agenda and is using Prince Harry and will dump him in time."

The next commented, "'Hello I am Meghan the Duchess of Sussex' this is how she introduced herself on the reading loud, while she read the 100 words book she written for the kids which surely is not for kids. Who introduced himself with the title especially to the kids??? useless narcissist." One commenter tweeted, "If Meghan Markle wants to read a book on YouTube good luck to her! But the current Duchess of Sussex should not profit from her given title! How many views would the other Suits actors get doing similar?" Another wrote, "Meghan has a British title & she is an embarrassment to them going around grifting with that title. She should stop using it, presumably her fans would still love her, right ? and e/one would be happy. But she won't because we all know it's her cash cow." One more said, "Who doesn't introduce himself to kids with hi I am Meghan the Duchess of Sussex! Seriously? The title of Duchess on that book is bigger double font than the book title"
