A royal commentator has said that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will try to be in the limelight as long as they can before Prince William and Kate Middleton's children steal the show. The Sussexes stepped down from senior royal duties in 2020, wanting to start their own life and identity away from the palace.

The pair shifted to California, and cracked numerous deals with several big firms like Netflix and Spotify, as well as participated in multiple causes that they felt close to. Meghan and Harry were also recently spotted at the United Nations headquarters in New York during the occasion of Nelson Mandela International Day. The father-of-two was a keynote speaker at the event and while delivering his speech, he mentioned the time when he knew the former actress was his “soulmate”.

Harry said on July 18, “Since I first visited Africa at 13 years old, I’ve always found hope on the continent. It’s where I felt closest to my mother and sought solace after she died, and where I knew I’d found a soulmate in my wife.”

But British journalist Jonathan Sacerdoti apparently thinks that these are probably ways of the couple to be in the news and earn profits before Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis come onto the scene.

Sacerdoti told Royally Us, “There's an interesting thing Prince Harry said ages ago that he kind of knew that he had a certain amount of time in the limelight, his 15 minutes. And eventually Prince Louis, Prince George, Princess Charlotte would become the new, interesting characters.”

He added: “There'll somebody else who may be as rudderless, directionless because of their position in the succession is such that they're limited to what they can do in life but they don't have an obvious constitutional role going forward and in the Royal Family so maybe they'll go off the rails.”

These statements from Sacerdoti come after the three children of the Cambridges were the center of attraction during the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee Celebrations in June. All of them stole people’s hearts as they made their debut at Trooping the Color. The trio looked brilliant in different shades of blue and white.

Also, in the recent past, the younger royals have made quite a few public appearances with George going to Wimbledon with his parents. He also had personal interaction with Novak Djokovic, who won against Nick Kyrgios on Center Court in the Men’s Singles final on July 10.

Meanwhile, Harry and Meghan were also in the UK for the celebrations along with their two children but kept themselves mostly out of public appearances. Royal expert Tina Brown said after the functions, “It was great that they were able to introduce Lillibet to the Queen. I'm sure that everyone wanted that to happen. But it clearly was uncomfortable that they were there but not really present. It was awkward.”

Royal commentator Omid Scobie added, “I spoke with people close to the couple... who said that they want to be as low-profile as possible during this trip. It’s almost hard to believe, but I think yesterday Trooping the Colour was a great example. We didn’t really catch sight of them on TV cameras.”
