‘It’s a bit heavy’: Prince George exudes CUTENESS as Djokovic hands him Wimbledon trophy after win
Prince George accompanied his parents — Prince William and Kate Middleton — to Wimbledon on Sunday, July 10, as they watched Novak Djokovic beat Nick Kyrgios on Centre Court in the Men’s Singles final. After the match, the Serbian player went on to meet the royals. He also shook hands with the eight-year-old, who was looking dapper in a navy blue suit.
George first reportedly showed a thumbs up to Djokovic after which the 35-year-old gave him The Gentlemen's Singles Trophy to hold. The young royal was seen looking carefully at the prestigious award and carrying it for sometime before handing it over to the Duchess of Cambridge, who as always was looking gorgeous in a $1600 Alessandra Rich blue polka dot dress. George was also reportedly heard saying to his mother, “It’s a bit heavy.”

It's been a special first #Wimbledon visit for Prince George 🏆#CentreCourt100 | @KensingtonRoyal pic.twitter.com/VKXg06hPCU
It has been said that it was the first such public outing for George, who loves tennis just like Kate. He had once received training directly from another tennis ace – Roger Federer. In 2016, the mother-of-three had reportedly spoken about his elder son’s interest in tennis with British-Canadian former tennis player Greg Rusedski. At the time, Rusedski had said of the meeting, “She talked about George, her little boy, playing tennis,” before adding that she told him, “He’s got a racket and he enjoys playing tennis, and obviously she plays with William…”
Meanwhile, George’s cute little antics have won the heart of the Internet. A fan gushed, “Prince George is such a sweet little man! He already knows what to do 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️.” Another fan tweeted, “Prince George is already showing the signs of his future. He is on point. Well done young man.” The third one commending Djokovic and the Cambridges said, “How kind, and respectful, of Novak to let the young Prince hold the trophy, and have a discussion about it. It’s so wonderful his lovely parents are exposing him to so any wonderful events England has to offer, including meeting a true Champion.”

Gotta love this, they have a age/height guideline, to actually watch matches. And for him growing up seeing mom & dad greet the champion, now a chance so few do it has to be an experience he’ll never forget. They love their tennis 🇬🇧🇬🇧 #Wimbledon🍓 #🏆
