'This is total BS, Sergey and I partied last night!' Elon Musk SLAMS affair allegations with Nicole Shanahan
Elon Musk, 51, is often seen being surrounded by controversies. A few days ago the tech billionaire was making deadlines for backing off from his $44 billion Twitter deal and now, again a new controversy has swirled around the Tesla founder, accusing him of engaging in a little affair with Google co-founder Sergey Brin's ex-wife Nichole Shanahan in December 2021. The accusations against Musk have spurred after the former couple filed for divorce earlier this year.
Brin and Musk have been long-time friends and are among the world's most wealthy and famous entrepreneurs. However, in a Sunday, July 24 report by the Wall Street Journal, the two appeared to be having tensions with each other. People close to the matter claimed that Musk had a brief fling with Brin's wife Nicole Shanahan at Art Basel, a multi-day art event in Miami, in December last year that prompted the Google co-founder to file for divorce, WSJ reported. However, Musk publicly denied all the accusations on Twitter, calling it "Total BS" and also criticized the news outlet for throwing false allegations at him.

"This is total bs. Sergey and I are friends and were at a party together last night! I’ve only seen Nicole twice in three years, both times with many other people around. Nothing romantic", Musk tweeted on Monday, July 25 referring to the false accusation of having affair with Shanahan. In the subsequent tweet, he wrote, "Yeah, the character assassination attacks have reached a new level this year, but the articles are all nothing-burgers. I work crazy hours, so there just isn’t much time for shenanigans. None of the key people involved in these alleged wrongdoings were even interviewed!".

Talking about Brin and Shanahan's divorce, the duo filed their divorce in January 2022, citing “irreconcilable differences,” according to records filed in Santa Clara County Superior Court. Brin and Shanahan have been separated since December last year. In the divorce filing, Brin cited December 15, 2021, as the date of the couple’s separation. Brin and Shanahan, share a daughter, who was born in 2018 and the couple had been married for four years.
