Megan Thee Stallion’s debut album ‘Good News’ has finally hit the Internet and guess what, the album opens with a song called ‘Shots Fired’ and there are no guesses towards whom she is aiming at. Though she hasn’t used any name, if we go through the lyrics, they simply point at Tory Lanez. The two were involved in a gunfire incident which dates back to July 2020. Things went haywire when Lanez allegedly fired four shots from outside of his vehicle on the night of July 12, with two bullets hitting Megan's feet. Apparently, it all happened when an argument brewed up in the car which ultimately took a wrong turn.

While addressing the incident in her song, Megan goes aggressive on the lyrics as she spits, “You shot a 5’10” b**ch with a .22, Talkin’ ’bout bones and tendons like them bullets weren’t pellets/ A pu**y n—a with a pu**y gun in his feelings/ Okay, he in the backseat and he keep callin’ me a bi**h/ We all know this shit, I coulda came back with (Lil’ a** ni**a).” The diss was somehow expected from Megan Thee Stallion as Tory Lanez had dropped an album after the shooting incident called ‘Daystar’ where he had dissed the Houston rapper on multiple tracks.

The Internet was quick to react to the song. One user asserted, “shots fired godtier. that sample is godtier. the lyrics are godtier I KNOW THAT'S RIGHT MEGAN HE'S !!! NOTHING !!! NOTHING!!!!” One individual expressed, “Tory ain’t coming back from Megan’s “Shots fired” song.”  Another user added, “Megan ate Tory short baldheaded broke a** the f**k up on shots fired I know he somewhere looking dumb as hell right now I LOVE IT goofy a** could’ve saved Moonstar and saved himself a dragging.”  One user tweeted, “I’m fed up with this Megan & Tory shit but she went tf offff on Shots Fired. She did her homegirl dirtyyyy.”  One user posted, “Lmaooo Megan went on Tory for like 3 mins straight on shots fired.” One person added, “Tory Lanez karma finna catch up to him real quick. Megan ATE. Listened to the first 10 seconds of Shots Fired and all I’m saying is... she ain’t hesitate one bit.” Another said, “the way megan ate that rat up on shots fired, I'm sweating.”

Megan Thee Stallion had first addressed the gunfire incident on her Instagram Live where she did not reveal the truth and said it was an accident, however, later Megan changed her mind and decided to spill all the details behind the gunfire incident. Lanez then grounded himself from all his social media accounts for good two months before dropping the album ‘Daystar’ where he dissed Megan Thee Stallon on several songs.

The female emcee most recently sat for an interview with GQ, as reported by Billboard where she revealed that Tory Lanez had begged her to not tell police what happened and even offered her and her friend money for her silence. “[At this point] I'm really scared because this is like right in the middle of all the [police brutality] protesting. Police are just killing everybody for no reason, and I'm thinking, ‘I can't believe you even think I want to take some money. Like, you just shot me.’” Tory Lanez was also charged with a felony for carrying a firearm of which he most recently pleaded not guilty. The case is still pending and this piece of news will surely go down as one of the biggest controversies of Megan Thee Stallion’s life.
