'He loved being loved'
Bialik and Leslie Jordan starred together in the Fox sitcom ‘Call Me Kat’ where Bialik plays the character of the owner of a cat-themed cafe and Jordan plays the character of the cafe’s friendly baker. While the series was on air, Jordan died, aged 67, on October 24 of a "sudden cardiac dysfunction" that caused him to crash his car into a building in Los Angeles, reports Entertainment Weekly.
On ‘Jennifer Hudson Show’, Bialik said about Jordan’s death, "It was a sudden thing. We were all at work and waiting for him to show up at work, so it was very, very, very complicated to have the whole crew there and the whole cast," before adding, "You know, we were a family."
She further continued, "People knew Leslie Jordan as Leslie Jordan; not necessarily just as the character that he played on our show," before adding, "He's been in people's lives and, especially during COVID, he was in people's Instagram feeds and a lot of people really formed a real connection with him and he loved that. He loved being approachable. He loved being loved."
