CULVER CITY, CALIFORNIA: 'Jeopardy' is an imaginative take on the conventional game. While the host delivers the answers first, the participants ask the questions. Three contestants, one of whom is the winner from the prior week, compete in each episode for cash prizes in six categories, three rounds, and some exciting on-screen action. From 1964 through 1975, Art Fleming served as the 'Jeopardy!' original host on NBC.

The show got a new lease of life with the news that 'Jeopardy!' co-hosts Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik will be competing against one another on a rival game show. The next 'Celebrity Wheel of Fortune' will include Ken, 48, and Mayim, 47, as competitors, as per The US Sun.

According to the ABC network, the two 'Jeopardy!' hosts will compete against each other as well as against host Vanna White on 'Wheel of Fortune'. Vanna will "call the letters rather than reveal them." The trio will compete head-to-head while solving riddles in an effort to win $1 million for charity. The premiere of the 'Celebrity Wheel of Fortune' episode featuring the two hosts is set on May 10.

Alex Trebek, who joined the game series in 1984 and served as host until his untimely death in the year 2020, gave the program a fresh lease on life. Trebek received the Outstanding Game Show Host Daytime Emmy Award eight times. At the age of 80, he succumbed to stage 4 pancreatic cancer on November 8, 2020, as earlier reported by MEAWW.

Trebek was scheduled to host 'Jeopardy!' until 2022, but his untimely death put a wrench in the plan and generated a lot of discussion about who should step in. Following the death of the previous longstanding host, hosts Ken Jennings and Mayim Bialik temporarily filled the positions before being selected as the official hosts.

'This will be fun'

Fans placed wagers in the comments section of an online post about who would become "the ultimate host." One fan wrote, "Watch Vanna absolutely smoke both of them and leave us all confused." A second fan wrote, "Hoenatly it wouldn't be surprising at all, she's spent decades studying by way of being on the show." A third fan wrote, "So excited to see Ken win every round." Someone else wrote, "And at the end instead of cash (for charity I assume?), they just let him host Wheel also." Another one wrote, "My biggest question is who's going to do Vanya's role? This will be fun." Another Mayim fan wrote, "Misread this as “Celebrity Jeopardy” and thought “wow Mayim’s gonna get zero points”. One more chimed in, "Mayim would probably be in the upper half of Celebrity Jeopardy! players."

What's Mayim Bialik's next project?

In the meantime, Mayim recently disclosed that she is working on a different 'Blossom' relaunch project in addition to her hosting commitments. The 'Call Me Kat' star posted a picture from her recent speech at Bryant University in Rhode Island.

She expressed her gratitude to Bryant University writing, "Thank you, Bryant University (and especially President Gittell & Dean McComb pictured here!) for hosting me and Blossom creator Don Reo yesterday! We had a blast talking about our respective crafts, our 35-year friendship, and answering questions about a Blossom reboot!"
