'Masaba Masaba': Neena and Masaba Gupta to Farah Khan and Kiara Advani, meet the cast of the Netflix show

This Netflix series, even though fictionalized, is a true celebration of Masaba's successes and failures alike

'Masaba Masaba' is inspired by Indian fashion designer Masaba Gupta's story. The soon to release Netflix series is about to give viewers a look into the "contrasting lives she lives – from the fancy dos she attends with her celebrity friends to moments she is crying into a bottle of wine on the floor of her apartment." It is a celebration of her life, successes, and failures alike but fear not, this is not about to be sappy at all. Instead, the episodes will be packing in a ton of fun, laughter and tongue-in-cheek humor that is synonymous with her as well as her uber-cool mother, Neena. The series premieres in an hour from now and before it does, meet the cast that features an array of personalities from the Indian entertainment industry. 

Masaba Gupta

Masaba Gupta is the daughter of veteran actress Neena Gupta and former West Indies cricketer Sir Isaac Vivian Alexander Richards famously known as Viv Richards. She is an entrepreneur and her brand House of Masaba has managed to garner decent success in the Indian fashion industry. She also launched a makeup line in collaboration with a giant retail seller Indian website back in 2019. Early this year she launched a collection in collaboration with United Nations Environment Program called ‘I Will Wear Out Plastic’, that featured clothes, with detachable bags built within the garment itself. She is also a social media influencer where her followers connect with her for her outspoken and unfiltered persona. 

Neena Gupta

Neena Gupta is a veteran TV and movie actress and director. The 60-year-old's career spans over 32 years wherein she's managed to garner innumerous accolades for her work in a number of TV shows as well as art-house & commercial films. 2019 and 2020 were super successful years for the actress as she appeared in two groundbreaking films, 'Badhaai Ho' and 'Shubh Mangal Zyaada Saavdhan' that was made with an aim to erase the social stigma around geriatric pregnancy and gay relationships respectively.

Neil Bhoopalam

Neil Bhoopalam is a critically-acclaimed actor known for his work on stage, TV, and films. He has earned a lot of praise for his work in the Indian entertainment industry, including his role in the adaptation of the International hit series '24' alongside globally renowned actor Anil Kapoor and veteran actress Shabana Azmi. His role in films like 'No One Killed Jessica' and 'Shaitaan'. He was also seen on the very popular Amazon series 'Four More Shots'.

Kiara Advani

Kiara Advani is an Indian movie actress best known for her role in the movies 'Kabir Singh' and 'Good Newwz'. 

Farah Khan

Farah Khan is an Indian movie director, producer, actress, and dancer. She is also counted as one of the top dance choreographers in the Indian film industry. Some of her film credits include 'Happy New Year', 'Om Shanti Om', 'Tees Maar Khan', 'Kuch Kuch Hota Hai' and 'Kal Ho Na Ho'. She was also nominated for Broadway's Tony Award in 2004 for Best Choreographer, along with collaborator Anthony Van Laast, for 'Bombay Dreams'.

'Masaba Masaba' will be available to stream on Netflix starting August 28, 2020, only on Netflix.
