Married At First Sight's Zach slammed by fans after he forgets wife Mindy's name: 'Jesus this guy is a douche'
Zach Justice and Mindy Shiben easily make one of the most conflicted couples on 'Married At First Sight.' Ever since they arrived in Panama for their honeymoon you could see the differences pop up like mushrooms. And maybe the last nail on the coffin was when he addressed Mindy as Mandy during one of his conversations in this week's episode.
Right from day one of their stay together in the hotel, Zach made it clear that he wasn't attracted to Mindy and that was the first of the several times she felt discouraged by his words. However, you could see him make efforts on and off to know Mindy better but those were clearly not enough. On the last day of their trip, he even took off his wedding ring and made it clear that it would be difficult to move in with her at their new accommodation in Washington DC because he needs his space.
Mindy met up with Pastor Calvin Roberson to share her concern adding that she was more than willing to make their relationship work, give Zach another chance and see where it leads them because it's a commitment she has made and would like to see through it. Later, she chats about Zach with a friend over wine and spaghetti, who severely judges Zach for his actions because his deciding to not move in with Mindy shows his lack of interest in the marriage. Later, the pastor visits Zach to understand his side of the story and that's when he said that the attraction was missing.
The pastor knew the couple had to be under one roof to get their differences ironed out or at least begin with some sort of communication to get the roadblocks out of the way, but that meeting too turned awkward when Zach made a confusing statement about why he wants to stay away from Mindy. For him to gauge the value of their relationship, he needs to be away from Mindy so that he can miss her and realize that a significant portion of his life isn't functioning.
This had the pastor in shock and you could see it in his face. He even said that being married requires two people to stay together, to grow and be a part of each other's lives. He really wanted to convince Zach to participate in the social experiment fully when he said that the new accommodation has two bedrooms and therefore, space shouldn't be a problem. However, he rejected the option saying he needs his space at the moment. Although, he did express an interest in continuing with the marriage.
Meanwhile, fans are now more than certain than Zach checked out from the marriage a long time ago.
