'Married at First Sight': Fans love how Derek is asked embarrassing wedding night questions by Katie's friends
Katie Conrad and Derek Sherman may have had a rocky start, with Katie being unsure if she should return to her ex or continue to marry a complete stranger. But, they're turning out to be the most sorted couple on 'Married At First Sight.'
Ever since Katie walked down that aisle, she has been smitten by Derek and his charm. And their first kiss is what sealed the deal for her. She has been open about her newfound affection for Derek and hasn't been holding back at all.
They have similar tastes - both like dogs and have just begun grad school. It's a good start to their forever future. But what made it fun was interaction with each other's friends. Katie prodded the groomsmen trying to understand what kind of a person Derek was and what he liked, to which they unanimously agreed that he can be a bit dreamy at times, which Katie has to balance out using her practical outlook. Katie also shyly admitted to them that she thought Derek was hot and that it felt right with him.
Interestingly, Derek's conversation with the bridesmaids got embarrassing when one of them specifically asked for the details of what he has planned for his and Katie's wedding night. A flushed Derek said he had thought of their first night together but doesn't have any set plans about it. From their little chat, Derek gathered she likes 'adventure.'
On a more serious note, Derek had a heart-to-heart with Katie's dad where they both seemed relieved at making the right decisions - Katie's father for not doubting her choice and Derek for believing in himself, Katie and their marriage. This was a relief because her parents were flipping out moments before she was to get married. Her family too was unsure of the idea of getting married to a complete stranger. But looking at Derek and how he is with Katie and everyone else, there's not much to worry about.
The episode ended with them popping open a bottle of champagne in her wedding dress. As they got cozy, the lights went off and the cameras stopped rolling. Clearly, their wedding night ended well.
