This week, it's "the day" for 'Married at First Sight' couples. They are all set to take the final step towards the aisle but there's a sense of nervous excitement that's holding everyone back. Cold feet are common when you're getting married, but it gets worse when you're committing to a complete stranger.

For Katie and Derek, the wedding day jitters have begun to set in and they are barely able to keep it together. While the bride breaks into a nervous laughter every once in a while, the groom keeps tabs on the time when he gets to wed.

With the ex in the picture constantly clouding her judgment, making her second-guess her decision to marry a stranger, Katie has been reflecting hard on whether or not she should be going through with it. Even in her wedding dress, with the flowers in her hand and surrounded by the bridesmaids, she can't help but be conflicted about her wedding.  On the other hand, Derek is taking it slightly well, secretly hoping that his wife-to-be will be caring and make him laugh.

The parents had a meltdown of sorts, but they could all let out a sigh of relief when the two confidently read out their vows and had a good laugh at the altar about how crazy all of it was. They left the wedding area after being pronounced husband and wife only to pick a secluded spot for themselves. They wanted to have a chat and understand each other better, knowing more about likes and dislikes.  In a quick conversation, they were able to figure out that they both like dogs, and have just begun grad school.

Later, the newly-wed couple posed for photos with their loved ones and also for their wedding album, which involved kissing and no one's complaining. Katie enjoyed her first kiss with Derek, while he said he was comfortable kissing his wife and that was the moment when he knew she was the one. All's well that ends well.

Katie and Derek's story has begun on a happy note despite the initial hiccups owing to Katie's ex trying to coax her into giving up her perfect match. Let's hope the remaining four couples - Mindy & Zach, Brandon & Taylor, Meka & Michael, and Jessica & Austin - are able to follow suit.
