In a piece of good news for Marilyn Manson fans, the shock rock legend is all set to release his 11th studio album 'We Are Chaos' on September 11. This will be his first full-fledged project since 2017's 'Heaven Upside Down'.

The 51-year-old singer-songwriter had first announced the album on his official Twitter account in late July along with the announcement of the title track with the same name. He had tweeted, “WE ARE CHAOS Video directed, photographed & edited by Matt Mahurin From Marilyn Manson’s new album, WE ARE CHAOS. Everywhere September 11 along with links to stream and ore-order the album.

Talking about the album, the vocalist said in his official press release, "When I listen to 'We Are Chaos' now, it seems like just yesterday or as if the world repeated itself, as it always does, making the title track and the stories seem as if we wrote them today.”

The lyrics of the title track goes, "If you say that we're ill, give us your pill/ Hope we'll just go away, But once you've inhaled death/ Everything else is perfume, Maybe I'm just a mystery/ I could end up your misery, Maybe I'm just a mystery/ I could end up your misery." The album is co-produced by the Manson and Shooter Jennings.

Interestingly, the cover art of the album which features the vocalist in a close-up photo was painted by Manson only. Here’s what you need to know about his much-anticipated album:

Release date

'We Are Chaos' will hit the internet on September 11 through an independent label called Loma Vista Recordings. However, the title track of the LP with the same name is already out.

Concept

Talking about the concept of his new work, Marilyn Manson had earlier told Revolver about the double-sided concept of the album. He stated, "So I began it with the intro prose to try to set the tone for what was to come on the record. And, we made it 10 songs so it would be treated, in the traditional sense, of how an LP works. How there’s a Side A and a Side B, because it changes."

He added, "Just like in a movie or a play, there are three acts. And we were very particular about how we pieced it all together, but it was not difficult. There were no extra songs that we left off."

Tracklist

The album will come with 10 songs. Here is the entire tracklist of 'We Are Chaos':
'Red Black and Blue'
'We Are Chaos'
'Don't Chase the Dead'
'Paint You With My Love'
'Half-Way & One Step Forward'
'Infinite Darkness'
'Perfume'
'Keep My Head Together'
'Solve Coagula'
'Broken Needle'

Where to stream
The album will be available on all major digital platforms including Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon Music and YouTube.
