Marc Anthony to sing national anthem at 2024 Miami F1 Grand Prix
Miami Gardens, Florida (Release): South Florida Motorsports (SFM), organizers of the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix 2024, have confirmed that singer and songwriter Marc Anthony will be performing the national anthem on Sunday, May 5.
A Six-time Grammy and Latin Grammy Award winner, Marc Anthony has had a huge influence on Latin music throughout his career. Now, he gets to lend his voice to this iconic moment that will be watched by hundreds of thousands both in person and on broadcast, as he showcases the diverse culture of the city of Miami on a global stage.
Credited with over 107 Billboard chart #1 hits, Marc will bring his own flair to the national anthem and will put on a show for the crowd before round six as the Formula 1 calendar gets underway at the Miami International Autodrome. Following the race, Marc will kick off his Historia tour in Europe.
“It’s always an honor to have the opportunity to perform our National Anthem and I am looking forward to sharing the special occasion with everyone in attendance and with Formula 1 fans watching everywhere,” said Anthony.
This year marks the third of the Formula 1 Crypto.com Miami Grand Prix 2024, a must-attend event that has become known for bringing together the vibrant culture of Miami alongside world class racing, luxury hospitality and fan-focused experiences. In its third edition, the series will welcome more track action including an F1 Sprint, guaranteeing three days of competitive Formula 1 action, and is also the only US race this year to host a round of the all-female F1 Academy series, the junior series created to find the next female F1 star.
