NBC's 'Manifest' is all set to return with captivating drama, heart-pounding mysteries and the answers to last season's biggest questions. In the first season of 'Manifest', Montego Air Flight 828 landed safely in New York but the world had moved forward by five years. As the new season comes back on screen, the passengers are faced with a bigger threat as they discover they are potentially living on borrowed time.

Replaying the events of season one, Josh Dallas, who plays an associate professor, Ben Stone says, "A plane goes missing five and a half years ago. All of a sudden, the plane lands again and no time has passed for the people on the plane." He adds, "We also have this impending death date, which is a ticking time bomb that looms over every single passenger. Season two we are going to go full force into figuring out the death date. You're gonna want to tune in because we have so much more story to tell you."

At the end of season one, Jared reached for the pistol and Michaela dashed up the stairs to "stop him" only to enter the door just as a shot was fired. Melissa Roxburgh who essays the character of Michaela Stone, an NYPD detective, adds, "Season one finale left us with a lot of questions, one of them being, who got shot. The reception that we have from the audience was amazing so going into season two, they'll have a lot more answers as to what happened to us and I think the ride is just much more of a rollercoaster this season."

The suspense has been building ever since and fans are wondering what surprise the new season holds for them. Athena Karkanis, who plays Grace Stone, Ben's wife, says, "We left audiences hanging off a cliff by their fingernail. Grace and Ben learn that there is a new life on its way but they don't know who the daddy is." Luna Blaise who plays Olive Stone, Ben and Grace's daughter, says, "Season two is crazy and I don't want to spoil anything but I know people are gonna love it."

Parveen Kaur who essays the role of Saanvi Bahl, a graduate student and medical researcher at Mercy Hospital, says, "What a race for your life if you know you're gonna pass away and you have an opportunity to maybe solve that. It's incredibly exciting."

Fans are excited after watching the trailers. "Fantastic! Can't wait for it. This has so much potential, it could literally have so many different endings," one viewer wrote. The cast feels the fans should expect "drama, heartbreak, love, sadness, happiness" in the new season. With 13 episodes, 'Manifest' will premiere on January 6, 2020, and will air every Monday at 10 pm ET on NBC.
