'Manifest': Why is Griffin receiving concise callings when the rest aren't?
The "Callings" have been playing a major role in NBC's 'Manifest'. Creator Jeff Rake's show revolves around the case of the missing Montego Air Flight 828, whose passengers hadn't aged a day in five and a half years. When they returned they began hearing strange voices in their heads, which they referred to as "Callings", and soon these "Callings" took up the role of a guiding light for the passengers. However, they acted in a very different way for James Griffin (played by Marc Menchaca), a convicted criminal who in spite of not being a passenger was also receiving the "Callings".
Griffin's "Callings" were not as fragmented as the ones that Michaela (Melissa Roxburgh) and Ben (Josh Dallas) were receiving, nor were the "Callings" helping Griffin predict the future. However, it did show him as part of a bomb blast which kills thousands of people, and Griffin chose not to give out the information to Michaela who has always believed that the "Callings" are helping them improve on their mistakes. It is quite strange that while Michaela and Ben have been only receiving fragments of clues, Griffin's "Callings" are much more precise and concise. So why is this happening?
