'Love and prayers': Jamie Foxx remains in hospital even after 3 weeks, friends ask for prayers
LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Jamie Foxx, the Academy Award-winning actor, has been in the hospital since April 11. His close buddy Charles Alston, popularly known as "Charlie Mack" or 'Mr. Philadelphia,' has turned to Instagram to appeal for prayers and well wishes for the actor.
In his May 1 Instagram post, Charles requested everyone to keep Jamie in their thoughts and prayers and stated, "We need you back Bro. As I always state, a true champion isn't the one that wins, it's the one that meets & overcomes adversity!! Your test becomes your testimony!!"

"We all can't wait to receive you back home to celebrate, laugh with, and applaud you!!" he continued. Charles implored "Allah The Creator of the Heavens & Earth" for forgiveness and his "merciful healing powers" over Jamie.
Well-wishes and prayers on the line
Jamie's continued hospitalization surprised fans because his pal, Nick Cannon, had said in an interview with Entertainment Tonight on April 23 that he was on the mend. He did not, however, disclose any information regarding Jamie's condition.

Previously, a source told the site that Jamie is "healing" and "feels the love from everyone." Corinne Foxx, Jamie's 29-year-old daughter, had announced his hospitalization to the public via an Instagram post. She had mentioned that Jamie had a medical difficulty but was on his path to recovery thanks to swift intervention and excellent treatment.
Kerry Washington, who has played Jamie's wife in two films, expressed her condolences after learning of his hospitalization. "Sending you all my love and prayers, my movie huzbin," she wrote with an old photo of the couple.
