'Lost Bullet', aka 'Balle perdue' follows a crook-turned-lawman struggling to prove his innocence, which sounds like the epitome of all things intense with great commercial potential at the box office. The 90-minute long French crime action thriller arrives on Netflix this June with some expectedly high octane moments of a pure, unmissable joyride that's a must-watch for all fans of the genre. Here's all you need to know about it.

Release date

'Lost Bullet' premieres on June 19 and all episodes will be available for streaming from midnight, only on Netflix.

Stéfi Celma as Julia in 'Lost Bullet' (Netflix)

Plot

According to its official synopsis given by the streaming giant, "Facing a murder charge, a genius mechanic with a criminal past must track down a missing car containing the proof of his innocence: a single bullet." The fact that the protagonist rises as a mechanic with the cops is what makes the twisted tale more interesting.

Creator

The film is both written and directed by Guillaume Pierret, from his own original scenario, with Alban Lenoir and Kamel Guemra adapting it for the screen. Lenoir also stars in the film.

Ramzy Bedia as Charas and Rod Paradot as Quentin (Netflix)

Cast

Considering there's only a vague 30-second teaser out, it's not entirely sure what the characters individually entail, but we do know who's playing who in the movie. Alban Lenoir, along with writing the on-screen adaptation, also stars as Lino, a crook who can be seen participating in some sort of a heist in the opening moments of the teaser. He is joined by Rod Paradot's Quentin who is clearly a nervous wreck complained to Lino's stoic demeanor about the crime they are about to commit. Nicolas Duvauchelle stars as Areski, Ramzy Bedia as Charas, Stéfi Celma as Julia, and Sébastien Lalanne can be seen as Marco in 'Lost Bullet'.

Trailer

There's only a less than a minute teaser released by Netflix for the upcoming film but it's enough to give us a faint idea of what to expect. Heists, cars crashing, flipping, and explosives going off -- it's a classic set up for any seasoned action thriller. Check it out here:
