Iconic country musician Loretta Lynn has turned 88 this year but that is not stopping her from dropping new music for her loyal fans. The legendary musician, whose career spans more than six decades, has announced her brand new album called ‘Still Woman Enough’ and has tapped four other country legends namely Carrie Underwood, Tanya Tucker, Reba McEntire and Margo Price for the same. This will be Loretta’s 50th studio effort.

The ‘Fist City’ hitmaker took to her official Twitter account to announce her latest project. She posted a video snippet and captioned it, “I am very excited that my new album, 'Still Woman Enough' is available to pre-order now! Available 3/19, 4 amazing women joined me on these new songs, @Reba, @CarrieUnderwoood, @MargoPrice, @TanyaTucker. Pre-order it today! #stillwomanenough  #womenofcountry #forthegirls”



 

Loretta Lynn’s 50th album is a follow-up to her 2018 record titled ‘Wouldn’t It Be Great'. The acclaimed country singer is known for her hit singles like ‘You Ain't Woman Enough (To Take My Man)’, ‘Don't Come Home A-Drinkin (With Lovin' on Your Mind)’, ‘One’s on the Way’ and ‘Coal Miner’s Daughter’ along with the 1980 biographical film of the same name.

Loretta has bagged awards from both the Country Music Association and Academy of Country Music. She has also been nominated 18 times for a Grammy Award out of which she won the coveted award three times. Loretta is the most awarded female country recording artiste and the only female ACM Artiste of the Decade (1970s). Here’s everything you need to know about ‘Still Woman Enough’.

Loretta Lynn’s newly-announced project will hit the Internet on March 19, 2021, via Legacy. The album is already up for a pre-order here. ‘Still Woman Enough’ celebrates women in country music and includes new compositions along with reinterpretations of songs from Lorreta’s discography. According to Pitchfork, Loretta Lynn spoke about her new record in a statement saying, “I am just so thankful to have some of my friends join me on my new album. We girl singers gotta stick together. It’s amazing how much has happened in the 50 years since ‘Coal Miner’s Daughter’ first came out and I’m extremely grateful to be given a part to play in the history of American music.”

The cover art of the album sees Lorreta comfortably sitting on a throne all decked up in a gorgeous gown while the crown rests on the throne’s arm. We also see a guitar lying on the other side of the throne. The multiple award-winning crooner also dropped a trailer for her album which you can check right here.
