Lorde, who released her third studio album ‘Solar Power’ in August 2021, might have just dropped hints about releasing new music in a lengthy email she sent to her fans over the weekend. The New Zealand native got her loyal fans excited as she also attached a few stunning pictures of hers in the mail.

In the email titled “How’s It Going to End”, the 25-year-old crooner spoke about her hitting the road and the emotional moments she enjoyed. A few weeks ago, Lorde had addressed the criticism she received for her album 'Solar Power,’ saying it was painful to sit with the mixed response as many on the Internet had dubbed it awful.

‘Obsessed with music again’

Lorde took a long break between her second and third albums and went on a tour as soon as venues opened after Covid-19 lockdowns. However, the singer-songwriter seems to be in a good place right now. She claimed in her email that it was by far one of the best seasons of her life. According to the Twitter account of Lorde_Fix, the mail stated, “It’s taken me a week to sit down and write to you as I pull the last bits from the suitcase, only just processing what a magical few months this was. It was by far one of the best seasons of my life!"

Elsewhere in the mail, Lorde shed light on her tour saying, “We finished the tour in Stockholm… the sun was glowing gold. For that hour, I watched the dream solar power scene like my own personal movie, bodies swaying, flocks of birds in V formation, dusk on the trees.” The skilled crooner then spoke about getting stronger. “Doing heavier deadlifts. Haven’t discussed getting stronger, I’ve always seen the gym as this thing I just haul myself through in order to do my job, but have recently realised I actually love it in a kooky way. I feel specifically like a human being”, said Lorde.

While dropping hints on her new music, the award-winning songstress stated, “Can’t stop working… why stop when it feels like play???… Obsessed with music again and listening to it all the time, not telling you what though, hihi huhu.” Lorde has, so far, not shared any details on her upcoming projects. MEAWW will keep you posted. The singer’s latest album ‘Solar Power’ was a follow-up to her 2017 hit record ‘Melodrama’ which hooked music lovers with songs like ‘Green Light’, ‘Perfect Places’, and ‘Homemade Dynamite’.

‘Girl just release it enough of this nonsense'

Social media responses were predictably mixed. “SOLAR POWER ENDED YOU FAVS CAREER WITH EASE”, said one user as another joked, “Translation: lorde is threatening to release new music.” One individual added, “We don’t want it after the last mess.” Another insisted, “Make another phenomenal album like melodrama otherwise I'm quitting as a fan of lorde.”

The next one claimed that Lorde was, “getting ready to serve,” referring to hints she posted in her email. Meanwhile, an irritated user said, “Girl just release it enough of this nonsense.” Someone else posted, “This may be the shortest wait between albums, let’s hope.” An optimistic fan said, “Oh she's definitely coming back with the melodrama 0.2!”
