Grammy award-winning singer Lizzo is certainly doing her part in making sure that her fellow Americans are doing everything they can to spark a change in their community and the nation at large. The 'Truth Hurts' singer has been a frequent and constant presence on social media in the past few days, previously pledging to help rebuild her former hometown of Minneapolis after the recent Black Lives Matter protests descended into an ugly spectacle of riots and property damages. Besides educating black and white folks about their roles and responsibilities when it came to standing up and speaking about racism, Lizzo is also helping dispel myths and misinformation with her timely social media posts that mainly focus on positivity and empowerment.

And now the 'Juice' singer has recently taken her sociopolitical activism a step further by composing a catchy new song that encourages her fans and followers to vote in the ongoing election primaries. In a recent Instagram video post, a smiling Lizzo started off by singing over some simple beats, "Hey world. What's up? Do you know what's up?" A caption onscreen read, "Hey, you! Do you know how you can help make a change today?" The 32-year-old singer then continued to gleefully tap out beats on her MIDI controller pad, as she launched into her infectious and upbeat homemade song. She sang, "Do you know what time it is? Do you know what time it is? It's time to vote! It's time to vote! It's time to V-O-T-E, it's time to vote!" The video captions flashed an important message that the Presidential primaries were starting on Tuesday, June 2, in the following locations -- Washington DC, Iowa, South Dakota, Rhode Island, Maryland, New Mexico, Indiana, Montana, and Pennsylvania.

Lizzo then signed off with a heartfelt message for her fans as she descended into a flurry of polyrhythms and off-kilter beats. Her final captions read, "There are many ways to protest. Find your voice and use it. We need you," as she beamed into the camera. She also included links along with the clip where viewers could sign up and be a part of the democratic process. Although the song was short and sweet, Lizzo had put her point across in an upbeat and creative fashion, and her fans were applauding her for taking on this initiative.

One fan wrote, "This video made my day!!!" while another admirer commented, "Seriously you are amazing ❤️ thanks for making me smile." Another viewer observed, "That smile though. The fact that you’re able to smile now gives me a little hope ✊." Other supporters commented on the infectious nature of the song itself, saying "Very catchy song Lizzo ❤️" and others admitted, "Now this song is in my head." Another fan exclaimed, "When is this dropping on iTunes?"

The only way to make change!" and others chimed in with their own messages, saying "You are so right you beautiful soul," and declaring, "Seriously. You are the light of the world. We don't deserve you but I'm damn sure glad we have you despite that. You're a gem."
