The celebrated music icon Darius Rucker, who has garnered as much acclaim in the country music scene as he did with the multi-platinum-selling group Hootie and the Blowfish, was earning fresh platitudes from music lovers on Sunday night, July 12, after his recently concluded gig at the Nissan Stadium lot in Nashville. The July 12 concert, which was the rousing finale to a trio of drive-in concerts organized by Live Nation, was titled 'Live From The Drive-In' and was also made available as a live stream to thousands of adoring music lovers.

After four long months of lockdowns and quarantines, the live concert experience came back to Nashville in a big way thanks to these drive-in concerts at the Nissan Stadium, which first hosted country icon Jon Pardi on Friday, July 10, and the country superstar Brad Paisley the following night on Saturday, July 11. Rucker's show on Sunday night served as the fitting finale, as the newly single music superstar kept the audience enthralled with a catalog of hits spanning over 30 years. Needless to say, proper health and safety guidelines were adhered to for this novel concert experience, with each mask-wearing member of the audience keeping to their "personal tailgating spaces" next to their cars, which were all parked a safe distance apart from each other, in light of the ongoing coronavirus threat.

Fans were quite thrilled and excited about getting back to the live concert experience and took to social media to voice their approval. One fan declared, "@dariusrucker killed it!!!! #LiveAtTheDriveIn." Another diehard listener posted: "Rocking out with your bud @dariusrucker in Nashville tonight" while posting footage from the gig.

Another longtime listener tweeted: "Can’t think of another artist that could credibly cover Bob Dylan, John Mellencamp, Blackstreet, Tracy Lawrence, Price and also play his own #1 hits from 3 decades. Thanks for bringing live music back to us @dariusrucker."

Another supporter drew attention to his great moves at the recently concluded gig, saying: "That @dariusrucker shimmie @ Nissan Stadium while posting a link to a clip of the singer grooving away.

A happy fan was also quite pleased that proper health and safety measures had been adhered to during the concert: "Well done to @LiveNation and everyone responsible for the @dariusrucker show @NissanStadium. If only @JohnCooper4Nash & @MNPDNashville could enforce mask-wearing downtown the way y’all did!!"

Another longtime listener concluded, "Thanks @dariusrucker and @LiveNation for a great night in #Nashville at @NissanStadium!! It was great to have a concert after all these months! Well done!" Another fan chimed in saying, "@dariusrucker thanks for a fantastic concert tonight @NissanStadium."
