'Little Freaks': SHINee's Kim Ki-bum 'Key' or Corpse Husband? Here's how same fandom name sparked Twitter war
Twitter is witnessing the latest edition of fandom war after internet sensation Corpse Husband called his fans "freaks", which also happens to be the fandom name of popular KPop band SHINee’s Key aka Kim Kibum. Corpse Husband, the popular Youtuber and music artist, most famous for his deep voice and dark aesthetic, addressed his fans in an Instagram story about a sketch saying, "Alright, y’all are f**ing freaks. It is not my drawing or handwriting. Please do not get it tattooed on you. If it was my handwriting, you wouldn’t be able to read it." The story instantly made his fans call themselves “little freaks” on Twitter, which stirred the fandom fight.
SHINee’s Kibum who goes by the stage name Key, the 29-years-old Kpop singer and actor, has been calling his fans ‘Little freaks’ for a while as his fans explain that even his Instagram bio mentions this. A Tumblr post further explains, SHINee Key’s fandom name ‘Little freaks’ came from his love for Lady Gaga who called her fans little monsters. And he further explained the name during a toheart fansign when he said to a fan that lil means something in the lines of ‘how a son will always be little to his dad’.
A fan explains with receipts, “hey #littlefreaks is a fandom name that has belong to kim kibum aka key from shinee’s fans for over 7 years, since 2013. just so you are all aware” while another says, “i dont even remember bc i have bad memory but seems like kibum starting calling us lil freaks since 2013...i love him so much :(“

The multitalented singer’s Instagram bio testifies the fan claim as it clearly says “luv little freaks”. Kpop fans aren’t exactly happy at this name hijacking as one user posts, "so corpse stans started calling themselves little freaks as the fandom name but key's fandom name is little freaks and corpse stans are refusing to shut the f**k up"
Another says, "veteran kim kibum getting his fandom name #littlefreaks snatched on veterans day. (Heartbroken emojis).. anyways stream one of those nights”

Now the question arises, can two fandoms share the same name? While some are okay with this, others clearly feel the need to come with a different name as it already belongs to a fandom. One user posts, “We can all be #littlefreaks. I love me some Kibum and Corpse Husband. Let me have this 2 for 1 deal yall”. And another user says, “Yo, since the term #littlefreaks is already taken by an older fanbase, maybe we should be respectful and not use it..? I don’t know who initially came up with the term, but I think “corpse bunnies” is honestly way more fitting for the community. I think it’s adorable as f**k.” More innovative ideas for the Corpse Husband fandom is pouring in as a fan says, “my pitch for the @Corpse_Husband fandom instead of #littlefreaks : corpse children??? bc yk corpse bride corpse husband corpse children idkkk”
