With the intention to celebrate two years of his much-acclaimed 2018 album 'Tha Carter V', Lil Wayne has dropped the deluxe version of the record by adding 10 songs that never made the cut in the original album. Lil Wayne, who also goes by the name of Lil Tunechi, has been teasing his loyal fans for quite some time but he only confirmed the big news by posting details on his social media accounts on September 24.

The American rapper, who celebrates his 38th birthday in two days, took to his official Twitter account and shared, “My sh*t drop TONIGHT!!!! To celebrate the 2 year anniversary of C5 and show love to the dopest and most loyal fans EVER I’m adding 10 songs that didn’t make the original album! Tonight at 12am EST let’s celebrate!!! #IAintShitWithoutYou #Carter5Deluxe”

The original version of 'Tha Carter V' was supposed to be released way before 2018, but it only got delayed due to the rapper’s highly-publicized legal battle with Cash Money President Birdman. This was Lil Wayne's 12th studio album and featured heavy collaborations with artistes namely Swizz Beatz, Kendrick Lamar, Lil Snoop Dogg, Nicki Minaj, Ashanti, Mack Maine, Travis Scott, Nivea and the late XXXTentacion.

Here is all the information about 'Tha Carter V' Deluxe Edition:

Concept

The cover art of 'Tha Carter V' Deluxe Edition features a semi-nude Lil Wayne showing his tattooed-covered back.  The multiple award-winning artiste can be seen raising his hands in the air in the shape of a 'V' which reminds us of 'The Carter V'. The name of the album is written in a sleek font above his head where we can also spot the text 'Deluxe Edition'.

'Tha Carter V' original served as a double album consisting of 23 tracks and had debuted at the numero uno spot on the Billboard 200. Now, Lil Wayne has added 10 more tracks to the Deluxe Edition which makes it a total of 33 tracks overall.

Three of the singles namely 'What About Me' featuring Post Malone, 'In This House' featuring Gucci Mane and the Tay Keith-produced 'Hasta La Vista' were previously released as stand-alone bonus cuts in November 2018. Here's how the tracklist looks like:
