'Lil Mix New Single' trends after dance-pop quartet drop hidden clues about upcoming single on social media
Popular British dance-pop quartet Lil Mix became an international trend on social media after excited fans got the girl group trending in anticipation of their upcoming single. The former champions of 'The X Factor' back in 2011 currently consist of members Jade Thirlwall, Perrie Edwards, Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jesy Nelson, and they've been dropping hints online regarding their upcoming single.
Fans were hyped after noticing that the girls had been dropping various lyric fragments on their recent posts on social media, and proceeded to get "Lil Mix New Single" trending on Twitter in anticipation of their upcoming single. The girls recently dropped the debut single from their upcoming sixth album 'Break Up Song' in late March before coronavirus took hold and now fans are convinced that Lil Mix are going to drop another single soon.
After one of Lil Mix's recent posts came with the caption "Touch me like a summer night", fans were convinced that this was a lyric from a new song, and Lil Mix already have a song called 'Touch' out, which they released back in 2017.
Fans also reporting that they could find the lyric "You put the sun up in my sky" hidden in the picture on their Instagram Story. Prior to this, Lil Mix had also posted another picture with a hidden lyric, "I've been looking for the feeling" carefully tucked away in the background, causing fans to pull their detective hats and magnifying glasses out, searching for more clues in their recent posts. Sure enough, another Lil Mix picture had the hidden lyric "We’re just dancing the night away" inserted, just waiting to be discovered by eager fans.
A fan summarized the hidden lyric clues in a recent tweet, saying, "'We're just dancing the night away', 'I've been looking for the feeling', 'You put the sun up in my sky' LITTLE MIX NEW SINGLE is coming!"
And now "Lil Mix New Single" has been trending in not just the UK but in places like Algeria, Germany, Mexico and Chile. One fan said, "We'll show them how we can work as a team! LITTLE MIX NEW SINGLE IS COMING." Another supporter tweeted, "The girls need us for this single, we don’t know what’s coming after this era, so please it’s now or never to support the girls - LITTLE MIX NEW SINGLE."
