How did Lil Keed die? Atlanta rapper's girlfriend shares pregnancy news in her tribute
Lil Keed, a rapper affiliated with Young Thug's Young Stoner Life label, passed away in Los Angeles on Friday, May 13, at the age of 24. The musician's death was verified by a spokesperson to the New York Times on Saturday just hours before Keed (full name: Raqhid Jevon Render) was supposed to play at a music festival in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Keed's death came only days after his mentor, Young Thug, and fellow rapper Gunna were arrested in Atlanta on gang-related charges. The two were named in a massive gang indictment among other label rappers. According to the New York Times, the indictment said that YSL was “a criminal street gang responsible for murders, robberies, drug dealing and more.”

In an August 2020 interview with Complex, Keed discussed the value of family. When asked what he wanted people to know about him, the 'Nameless' rapper told the publication that he was making songs for his 3-year-old daughter, Naychur. “I have my daughter on my page every day, all day long. I spend all my time with my daughter,” he said at the time. “Then, of course, my mom and my family. I hang with my family. I don’t go hang with everybody.”
