Lil Durk dropped his new single 'The Voice' on Thursday, September 3, night and it wasn't coincidental that it clashed with 6ix9ine’s new sophomore album 'TattleTales' release. It's no secret that the two rappers have an ongoing feud and as per a Complex report, Durk recently disclosed that Tekashi69's camp offered him $3 million to keep it going for more publicity. Meanwhile, the same report claims that 6ix9ine said he was offered $5 million to slam Durk so that it sheds light on his much-anticipated album.

As per Report TV, Durk soon slammed him on an Instagram Live video saying, “F**kin rat. You can’t compete with a f**kin rat on street shit. Stop responding to that clown ass. I’m the voice of the streets right? Whatever I say f**kin goes right? I can say this, I can say that and it’s stamped. I got the streets. I got the youth. I got the trenches — That shit dead — I’m the voice. That money shit ain’t gon change a m***f****. So I ain’t gon ever respond to this — ever again right. Say what you want, do what you want. You can’t fuckin troll me b***h I’m the streets.”

Well, as soon as the rapper whose real name is Durk Derrick Banks dropped his track, music lovers couldn't keep calm. He has not only been at the forefront of Chicago’s music scene but also surprised fans with his appearance in Drake's ‘Laugh Now Cry Later’ a while back. Sharing a 43-second clip on Twitter, he wrote: "The voice of the f**king streets." In no time, it garnered over 5,000 retweets and 14,000 likes.

The lyrics of the song go: "I was goin' through that pain alone/ I was goin' through that phase alone/ We all change, you say I change along/ Sleepless nights, barely changin' clothes/ You know damn right you was wrong/ I was tired, they didn't realize/ Certain vibes, it don't feel right/ Plenty nights got me traumatized/ Why they lie? I do love my guys."

Although many fans were disappointed it wasn't an album but a single, many went on to say it was better than Tekashi69's entire album. "Lil Durk seems to be dropping a single tonight not an album. The song is called “The Voice”," one tweet read and another said, "New Durk wasn’t a album it was a single....."

One said, "If you listen to 6ix9ine album before Big Sean or Lil Durk I can’t trust you." Another Twitter user said, "Lil Durk is NOT dropping an album tonight. He is dropping just a single tonight. He delayed his album last minute out of fear of getting outsold by 6ix9ine."

Soon, a string of tweets followed and fans couldn't help but point out how that one song was much better than the entire album. "Yall don’t understand what @lildurk sayin fr ! His one song better than dude WHOLE album," one said and another commented, "Lil Durk Dropped One Song Better Than 6IX9INE Whole Album." Reiterating the same, one fan said, "Durk single better than 69 whole album."
