Rapper Lil Durk broke the internet after he got down on one knee in the middle of a concert to propose to his long-time girlfriend and baby mama India Royale. A video of the proposal went viral on social media, sparking a sea of reactions from their fan brigade. As netizens rushed in to congratulate the newly engaged couple, many got busy speculating when they are tying the knot.
Lil Durk, who climbed to fame after he was featured on Drake's hit single 'Laugh Now Cry Later', has been together with India Royale in an on-and-off relationship since 2017. In fact, the couple even got engaged in 2018 and welcomed their first child Willow Banks soon afterward. Prior to India, Lil Durk was married to Nicole Covone and even shares two children, Angelo and Bella Banks, with her. It is not known yet how Nicole Covone has responded to the news of Lil Durk and India Royale's engagement, happening for the second time.
Who is Nicole Covone?
Nicole Covone and Lil Durk started going out with each other in 2008 when the latter was just a teenager of 15 years. They married soon after and in 2011, the couple welcomed their first child Angelo Banks. Their second child Bella was born on July 20, 2013. However, the pair separated after Lil Durk fathered a child with another woman, within a few months of Bella's birth. Covone, a Chicago native, also got upset about Durk's arrest and trial in 2013 when she was pregnant with Bella. At that time, he was behind bars after being charged with firearm possession.
The former couple had a very public bitter feud in 2016, when Durk posted on Instagram that he wanted to have complete custody of all his children, by taking them away from their mothers. However, he acknowledged that all his baby mothers were "perfect and good". But the remark did not sit well with Covone who reminded Durk that he should "stop the foolery" and stay away from social media to focus on being a better parent. She also said, "He knows it ain't flying this way," while alleging that Durk only "wants some attention". Covone is currently believed to be single if her Facebook relationship status is to be trusted.
Meanwhile, Lil Durk and India Royale also have had a tumultuous love life filled with cheating rumors. Lil Durk alleged once that India had cheated on her with Young Thug, only to later dismiss the rumors himself. In fact, at one point, he claimed that he would even kill for India, expressing his love for her.
