April 21 night's tribute to the legendary Prince kicked off with an absolutely electrifying performance of the titular 'Let's Go Crazy' from H.E.R. and Gary Clark Jr., featuring Sheila E on drums.

'Let’s Go Crazy: A Grammy Salute To Prince' began with two Grammy-winning artists performing one of the most iconic Prince and The Revolution songs. 'Let's Go Crazy' was often thought to be urging listeners to follow Christian ethics and this performance from H.E.R. and Gary Clark Jr. beautifully brought out the soul of this song.

Fans were already in awe of the performance. One tweeted, "Yeesssss. This is how you kick it off!!! #Prince4Ever," while another states, "Gary Clark Jr and HER opening this PRINCE tribute! HELL YEAH"

"F*ck yes! HER and Gary Clark jr. Doing Let's Go Crazy! #Prince4Ever" tweets another fan, while one states, "HER and Gary Clark, Jr. with so much talent. Love it #GRAMMYSalutePrince"

Sheila also featured in the performance, playing the drums. One fan tweeted, "Sheila on the drums with HER and Gary Clark" followed by a flurry of fire emojis.

However, some viewers were not particularly pleased to see Sheila. "Ooooooh Her and Gary Clark Jr," tweets one fan, before adding ".....but I have to say..seeing Sheila E...I'm a little...ergggh..?? #Prince"

Sheila recently courted controversy after Prince's ex and protege called out Sheila for trying to use Prince to gain clout, alleging Sheila had been pocketing funds raised through charities and claiming Prince refused to see Sheila in his final years due to all her 'lies'.

But despite the controversy, it appears many were happy to see her in the show, however, praising her and her band. One fan states, "Yall Sheila E has the best back up band. Those musicians are in her band and they are bad ass."

Others noted, however, that the show introduced H.E.R. and Gary, but made no mention of Sheila. One fan asks, "I don't understand why they didn't introduce Sheila E, but maybe I missed it. #GRAMMYSalutePrince," adding, "This tribute isn't bad it's just not.... enough. It could never be. Also, I'm legit pissed that @SheilaEdrummer has been on the stage the ENTIRE time & she hasn't been acknowledged. Like... her relationship with him was.... This is disrespectful. #GRAMMYSalutePrince"

Another fan responded asking, "Exactly. Why are we treating Sheila E like she’s just part of the backing band?? #GRAMMYSalutePrince"

Nonetheless, H.E.R. definitely earned the love of Prince fans, with one tweeting "Prince would have LOVED H.E.R. ... Let’s Go Crazy is my favorite song of his.... perfect combo with her Shelia E., and Gary Clark Jr."

H.E.R. also performed 'The Beautiful Ones' featuring ballet dancer Misty Copeland giving an absolutely mesmerizing performance.

"This HER/Misty Copeland duo is that pairing I didn’t know I needed #GRAMMYSalutePrince," tweeted one fan, while another stated, "HER singing the beautiful ones while Misty Copeland dances is everything that is right with this world!!! #TributeToPrince".
