'Lego Masters' Episode 1: Aaron and Christian's fab 'Spaceland' theme park sees fans rooting for their win
Fox's 'Lego Masters' premiered on February 5 and had fans on the edge of their seats. The show is hosted by Will Arnett (BoJack Horseman), and the two judges are LEGO design leads Jamie Berard and Amy Corbett.
No doubt, this was an exciting episode as the participants had to put their creativity and imagination to the best use and create a miniature theme park. There were marvelous creations on display, ranging from 'Spaceland', a space-themed park, to an Egyptian theme park to 'Timber Town'. However, not all of them were as successful and some had several hiccups, where the machinery stopped working and a rollercoaster in one of the theme parks could go only halfway.
Turns out, fans were rooting for 'Spaceland' by Aaron Newman and Christian Cowgill and hoped that the team would win the 'magic brick', which will grant them immunity for the next episode. Fan reaction to Spaceland on social media was enough to us how much they enjoyed the duo's creativity.
One fan wrote, "I loved space land! so glad they got the golden brick!!" Another tweeted, "I knew they were going to get the golden brick!"
"SPACELAND IS MY FAVORITE I WANNA GO THERE," tweeted a viewer. While another fan said that they really didn't care about the rest of the parks and they really only appreciated the idea of Spaceland. "Oh my gosh - i don't care about these people... I just want to see Lego building and design! Except the guys building a SpaceLand, they good!" they wrote.
Unlike other reality shows, in the first episode, no one was sent home. Fans had a lot to say about this.
One wrote, "@LEGOMastersFOX is amazing!!! I love that no one was eliminated the first night. I love seeing everyone's unique styles and creativity! I love shows like this!"
"Fifteen hours and no one is going home? Did I fight for this?" wrote a disgruntled fan. The overall consensus seemed to be that fans enjoyed the episode and it kept them on their toes. "Okay, that was a really fun premiere. I wish @LEGOMastersFOX was a two hour show so you could go more in depth with every single team! @arnettwill #legomasters #legomastersfox," wrote a fan.
'Lego Masters' airs on Fox, Wednesdays at 9 pm.
