'You cannot be serious': Former Tennis bad boy John McEnroe steps out for late-night dinner in Malibu
MALIBU, CALIFORNIA: Legendary Tennis player John McEnroe was all smiles as he was seen heading out of a restaurant named Nobu after enjoying a late-night dinner with pals in Malibu. The former tennis star, who is worth a whopping £87 million, opted for a casual outfit as he chatted with friends while waiting for the valet.
McEnroe, who appeared to be in a joyful mood, donned blue flannel over a round neck t-shirt and paired it with basic black jeans and matching sneakers. The sportsman completed his comfy apparel of the night with a white cap and a couple of silver chains around his neck. The 64-year-old stood next to a mystery girl in a green overcoat as he softly smiled at the cameras. The outing comes amid McEnroe calling out Elena Rybakina for lacking emotion after her win at Wimbledon in 2022.

McEnroe is known for his bad temper on the court
McEnroe, who is known for his notorious temper on the court, gave a glimpse of it once again after he insisted tennis players follow the example of Nick Kyrgios and display more emotion on the court, according to Express. During his time inside the court as a player, the American icon has been fined a whopping £13,000 ($15,625.80) for his conduct at Wimbledon. He was hit with an £8,300 ($9,976.48) penalty for his verbal abuse only four years before this. However, the seven-time Grand Slam title winner now appears to have calmed down as a captain of the Team World Laver Cup team.
'I’d like to see a little bit more explosive temper'
When asked "Why do tennis players have such an explosive temper?" during a question-answer session on his social media, he replied, “You must be watching different tournaments than me because I don’t see many players having meltdowns at all. And I know something about meltdowns, my past experience, and I’ve seen a couple of players, obviously, Nick Kyrgios comes to mind having meltdowns on a pretty regular basis, but for the most part, tennis players are incredibly well-behaved, maybe too well behaved in my book."
McEnroe further said, "I’d like to see a little bit more explosive temper see the emotions, wear it on their sleeve, there’s a handful of people you see that but I just saw someone win Wimbledon on the girl’s side (Rybakina) who didn’t show any emotion, so I don’t know if any of us wanna see that."
