According to the brand's website, his partner "Sasha built the website and Erik created the brand’s first collection of jeans and tees. Obsessed with quality, they worked closely with a local family factory to create small batch production runs, crafting each piece using old school manufacturing techniques combined with modern technology."

Turns out, it was love at first sight for him, as Ford mentions: "Erik says that he started dating me six months before I started dating him." The couple met in 2015 but officially announced only in 2016.

While they publically announced that they were dating in 2016, the couple also surprised everyone when they decided to get married shortly after in 2017. They had a very intimate ceremony surrounded by family and close friends. Ford shared a beautiful photo of the ceremony, captioning: "I've been in total heaven since the day I (finally) kissed this man. And on Sunday evening in #NewYorkCity, Erik and I stood in front of our immediate families only and said our vows. To love each other through it, despite of it, because of it. And to protect the light. Two years to decide it, four days to plan it and a lifetime to enjoy it. I guess you'd call this an #elopement?!"
