What happened to Ever Leo Reich, Lea Michele's son?

Michele claims that her two-year-old is having "a scary health issue."  The musical she plays in, 'Funny Girl on Broadway', has also confirmed the news. Their official Instagram handle said, "Lea Michele will be out of both performances today, Wednesday, March 22. Julie Benko will be your fabulous Fanny!." Michele and Reich welcomed their son Ever on August 20, 2020. In an interview with Drew Barrymore, she had previously explained how she feels being a mother. She said, "Here now, as a mom and wife, living back in New York on Broadway playing this role, for me, it just feels this timing was right."

"I just couldn’t see things clearly,” she said of her life before starting a family. “It was all about my career. I’ve been so career-focused my entire life, I think to a fault. I think that I had, you know, just this sense of drive that created a lot of blind spots for me in my life.” She also said, “When I met my husband, it was a real sense of grounding for me," she continued. "Having our son and experiencing the challenges that we did throughout the pregnancy was something that, you know, unfortunately, created a stronger bond in us that I would never wish on anybody — but it did.” She has also been vocal about her pregnancy difficulties. In an interaction with Katherine Schwarzenegger, she explained her difficulties with polycystic ovary syndrome and pregnancy.

She said, "I really felt like maybe this isn't meant to be for me right now," she recalled to Schwarzenegger at the time. “Always my biggest fear in my entire life [is] that I wouldn't be able to become a mom. It's what I've wanted more than anything. And, emotionally, it just started to build and build." The actress also added, "I think that women feel a sense of failure from having a C-section, [thinking] we didn't do all the same work." "I think that any woman that has a C-section or has had a C-section should be so proud of themselves," she told Yahoo Life.

Did Lea Michele have 'mom guilt?'

In an interview with Entertainment Online News, she said, "Doing Spring Awakening in November [2021] was the first time that I really left [Ever], and I went back to doing what I really love so much. I definitely had mom guilt, for sure, of leaving him and not being there 24/7. But it was so important for me to show him me doing what I really love." Further, she added, "Motherhood is beautiful, it's intense, it's hard. It's the greatest thing I've ever done. [Ever] doesn't call me ‘mama' anymore. Now he just calls me ‘mom,' and I'm like, ‘How did this happen?' And over the monitor this morning at 7.00 am I just hear, ‘Mom, mom, mom, mom?' The actress joked, "I'm like, ‘Oh my god, I have a 4-year-old'." She also added, "I think I was very hard on myself back then to do the most perfect show every single night and put a lot of pressure on myself," she shared. "I feel like, especially now as an adult and as a mom, I've enjoyed performing more."
