'Glee' actor Lea Michele confirms pregnancy rumors, shows off baby bump on Instagram
American actress, singer, and author Lea Michele is expecting her first child with husband Zandy Reich. The 33-year-old ‘Glee’ and ‘Scream Queens’ star, confirmed the rumors on Saturday, May 2, with an Instagram pic showing off her baby bump. The photo of Michele in a blue dress, holding her baby bump, was captioned, “So grateful.”
Rumors of her pregnancy began when People magazine, on April 27, reported about it, citing a source, who said, "They’ve always wanted to be parents."
Among the many to congratulate her on the news was her ‘Glee’ co-star Naya Rivera, who wrote, “Aww congrats! I love this. You're going to be a great mommy!” Actor and singer Ashley Tisdale commented on the Instagram post with, “OMG OMG,” and several heart-emojis. Her ‘Scream Queens’ co-star Emma Roberts wrote, “Crying! Screaming!!! Love you !”
‘Twilight’ saga actor Nikki Reed wrote, “Beauty.” Celebrity hairstylist Sarah Potempa commented, “@leamichele so beautiful!!! We are so happy for you and Zandy!!!! Congratulations.”
Michele and 37-year-old Reich, the president of AYR clothing company, tied the knot in front of friends and family in Napa, California, last year. “We are so excited to be married and grateful to be surrounded by our friends and family,” the couple told People magazine then. “And most of all, we’re so happy to spend the rest of our lives together.”
The pair dated for about two years before their marriage. “They were introduced by Lea’s best friend, Stephanie Levinson. Zandy is best friends with Stephanie’s husband, so they all know and love each other,” a friend of the actress told People magazine. “He’s a very business-minded guy and super smart. He started working for Theory and now he’s president of AYR. Lea’s always been a big fan of the clothing company and has worn their clothes to events.”
They got engaged in 2018. “It was a super private proposal,” a source told People magazine. “Their relationship has been very private, but they’re so happy. It was so romantic and she’s just so excited and feels so lucky. He’s a really nice guy. Lea is extremely happy.”
They added, “This is the happiest that Lea has ever been. Zandy is perfect for her. She knew it was right early on in their relationship. She’s been through so much, everyone close to her is just thrilled that she’s found happiness.”
