'Lance was taken from us far too soon'
Stephanie took to Instagram to post an online memorial to the late 'John Wick' actor and wrote, "Lance was taken from us far too soon. Thank you for all your overwhelming love, support and beautiful stories shared on these platforms over the last day. I see your messages and can't begin to express how grateful I am to have them. And to the thousands of Destiny players who played in special tribute to Lance, thank you. Lance loved you as much as he loved the game. Donations may be made to momcares.org in Baltimore, his hometown. - Stephanie Reddick."
Halle Berry was one of the stars to respond to the post, "My love and prayers are with the family at this very sad time. Lance was one of the most sincere people I’d ever met. Truly one of a kind ! RIP sweet king." In TV and movies like 'The Wire,' 'Fringe,' and the 'John Wick' series, Lance specialized in playing stern, frigid, and potentially menacing authority figures.
Lance and Stephanie's modest life of almost 25 years
Before his tragic death, Lance and Stephanie lived a peaceful life for almost 25 years. Their quiet Minnesota wedding in 2011 was the ideal expression of their modest lifestyle, almost 12 years after they initially met while he was performing in a theatre where she worked. Lance and his wife had a successful marriage despite his difficult schedule for numerous movies. The late actor's most recent film was 'John Wick 4'.
Stephanie insisted on just two rules for their marriage, unlike his co-stars who lavished money on extravagant ceremonies. "One was that everyone had to have fun," she remarked, as per Daily Mail. "And the other was that Lance couldn't see my dress before I walked down the aisle. That was it," she added.
Although Lance and Stephanie never had children together, Stephanie helped raise Yvonne Nicole Reddick and Christopher Reddick, the two children Lance had with his first wife, Suzanne Yvonne Louis. Stephanie has appeared on the red carpet a number of times while her husband has appeared in blockbusters including 'White House Down,' 'The Blacklist,' and 'Godzilla vs. Kong.' While the couple lived in a luxury $2.5 million residence in Los Angeles most of the time, they chose to get married in Minnesota to honor their heritage.
'A Legend. One of a kind. Thank you Lance'
Fans took to Stephanie's Instagram post and showered their love and condolences on the late actor. One fan commented, "He lived a wonderful & accomplished life. Seeing his last post playing with & spoiling his dogs… You could just see the genuine person he was," while another typed, "I’m so sorry for your loss, Stephanie… I work at Bungie and the entire studio went silent with tears. His soul is unmatched and we will keep him in our hearts and his love alive in the world. Sending you and your family all of the love and support, I’m so sorry…" A third fan commented, "Much love from myself and fellow wire fans. His great work has touched us all far and wide!" "A Legend. One of a kind. Thank you Lance," wrote another. Another fan wrote, "We're here for you, Stephanie. We're all in pain right now.".
