LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: It turns out that Lance Reddick considered his two co-stars from the four 'John Wick' movies a family, and the sense of belonging truly showed up in the characters they portrayed. In an interview he gave just days before his sudden death on March 17 at the age of 60, Reddick gushed about his 'John Wick' co-stars, including Keanu Reeves.

'Family's such a huge theme in this particular film'
In his final interview, Reddick told the show host, "Family's such a huge theme in this particular film, more than any others [in the series] — literal family," before explaining how it evolved between him, Reeves, and McShane. "But also, you see, with the three of us, that it's not just the family you're born into, but the family you've created, and how much we really are family," Reddick added.
Then McShane, 80, talked about how crucial it was for director Chad Stahelski to oversee all four of the films to help create that bond. He said, "So there's a deep understanding of each other and a deep empathy for the story." Praising the creator of 'John Wick's characters, McShane added, "And Derek Kolstad wrote something which I think has been very true, and expanded upon in a very mature way, and in a very adventurist way..."
The Baltimore, Maryland native, who portrayed Charon in the action-packed movie franchise added, "It's just stunningly gorgeous to watch." 'John Wick: Chapter 4' advertising campaign was underway when the tragic news of Reddick's death broke on March 17.
