LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA: Giving her fans a Christmas gift, Lana Del Rey has shared her first single from the upcoming album, ‘Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd.’ The Indie pop singer’s 9th studio album is set to be released on March 10, 2023, as she revealed the album’s title track. The song is co-written with Mike Hermosa, and produced by her longtime collaborator Jack Antonoff, Zach Dawes, and Dews Erickson. The titular song ‘Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd’ is in reference to Harry Nilsson’s ‘Don’t Forget Me’ (1974), and it comprises a shout-out to the late singer-songwriter and his track.

As per the album cover, ‘Did You Know That There’s a Tunnel Under Ocean Blvd,’ will have performances from artists such as Jon Batiste, Father John Misty, Judah Smith, SYML, and Tommy Genesis. Del Rey was in news a few months ago when her computer was stolen from her car in LA, and she was forced to erase all the data in it. The ‘Summertime Sadness’ singer also lost hard drives and three cameras that contained a book manuscript, unfinished songs, and personal camera footage in the theft reports People.

"I had to remotely wipe the computer that had my 200-page book for Simon & Schuster, which I didn't have backed up on a cloud," said Del Rey who added that she doesn’t have any ‘cloud system’ in a deleted Instagram video (The musician has previously experienced several mass-leaks of music throughout her career.) "And despite that, people are still able this week to remotely access my phone and leak our songs and personal photos."

‘Don’t Call Me Angel' singer then added, she Is quite ‘confident’ in her upcoming album, and will ‘persist’ with its scheduled release, though she admitted that there are ‘so many safety factors.’ Del Rey delighted her fans by expressing her will to ‘start over,’ and complete the book. "Obviously I won't leave anything in the car again, even for a moment, but we've had the same issues at the house. Although I'm so grateful to be able to share all of the good stuff, I just also want to share that it has been a challenge, she concluded."

Her last studio album was Chemtrails over the Country Club in March 2021, after almost two years. Interestingly, Del Rey was featured on the Taylor Shift’s latest release Midnights, where she can be seen in the ‘Snow on the Beach’ song.
