Jill Biden trolled for quoting Bible scripture while sharing White House V-day photos
First lady Jill Biden has been trolled online for her Valentine's Day decorations as she covered the White House with heart-shaped signs and quote from Bible. The decorations were done with the help of second-grade students of Alejandro Diasgranados, a teacher at Aiton Elementary School who won the DC 2021 Teacher of the Year award.
On the occasion of Valentine's day, the First lady tweeted, "Three things shall last forever - faith, hope, and love - and the greatest of these is love from 1 Corinthians 13:13. From our family to yours: Happy Valentine's Day!". This quote which was displayed on the North Lawn showed cartoon renderings of the Bidens' puppy, Commander, and their cat, Willow, on either side of the sign wearing heart-shaped tags.

Commenting on the tweet, one user wondered, "Not crazy about the Bible quote, Jill. Is this message for non-Christians and atheists too?". Another wrote, "Please don't quote scripture as a public figure. Thanks!". Replying in the thread, a third added: "She's not demanding you believe. But she is a christian, so she is quoting something she believes. I see no issue with this..and no, I am not a christian. We need more messages of love in this world. Let's not discourage that."
Some praised the first lady for the thought behind the White House decorations. One wrote, "So cutie First Lady Jill American people Love you...I'm home recovering from breast cancer.. this made my day. Thank you". Another said, "So refreshing to have a First Lady we can look up to". "Bless you dear lady for your kindness and good deeds. So thankful to have a First Lady who embraces the joys of life. Thank you!!!", wrote another.

In another tweet, Jill shared the East Wing's decorations done with colorful heart drawings from a second-grade class. Commenting on the tweet, one user praised, "Dr. Biden, you are a treasure" while another wrote, "This made my day! Just lovely". "Keep going and raising the bar!", said a third. Someone else wrote, "Thank you First Lady, we certainly love you"
It is the second year that the Bidens have marked the holiday at the White House. Last year's decorations featured red, pink, and white hearts that contained the words "unity", "healing" and "courage". The first lady's office said they were her "surprise Valentine messages to the country." Journalists were told at the time: "As you may know, the First Lady is known for her sense of humor, love of surprises, and celebrating traditions, especially with her family. Sending messages of healing, unity, hope, and compassion, this is her Valentine to the country."
