'One World: Together At Home' begins with emotional message from Lady Gaga before Adam Lambert enthralls fans

Global Citizen's 'One World: Together At Home' curated by Lady Gaga was held Saturday and saw artistes from across the world come together to put up a brilliant show

The 'One World: Together At Home' concert by Global Citizen curated by Lady Gaga was held on Saturday and it was a series of performances by musicians from their homes. The concert lasting six hours had a line-up split by the hour on Global Citizen's official YouTube channel where one can tune in to watch the concert. 

The line up included performances by Adam Lambert, Andra Day, Charlie Puth, Jennifer Hudson. Kesha, Liam Payne, Lisa Mishra, Luis Fonsi, Niall Horan, Rita Ora, Vishal Mishra. Adam Lambert, Annie Lennox, Ben Platt and Ellie Goulding among many others. 

The concert also included actors such as Matt Bomer, Matthew McConaughey Jameela Jamil, and others speaking about COVID-19, trying to raise awareness among audiences about the pandemic and thanking healthcare workers and essential service workers who serve as the frontline.

Fans have tuned into the concert and have since been tweeting about the concert and all the performances that have been a part of it. One fan wrote about Lambert's performance, "Super Star Adam Lambert Singing 'Mad World' Global Citizens-One World Together at Home." Fans also loved Niall Horan's performance, and one of them tweeted, "I can't believe Niall Horan saved my quarantine singing black and white #TogetherAtHome."

Another fan wrote about Rita Ora's performance and said, "Rita Ora did good, I loved that! #TogetherAtHome." Another performance that fans loved was by Hozier, and one of the fans tweeted, "This was lovely @Hozier !! The Bones sounds so good! #TogetherAtHome #hozier."



 

The concert also saw Kesha perform the song 'Rainbow' and one fan wrote about it, "Awwww @KeshaRose is such a sweetheart love her #TogetherAtHome." The concert also added montages and interviews of doctors serving across the world who spoke about the importance of why they decided to put everything on hold for their patients. These interspersed with performances by many artistes did not only aim to create awareness, but also keep many people around the world who are in isolation and alone company. 

The concert included artistes of all genres and one of the performances was a brilliant orchestra instrumental by Brut. Before the concert began, Lady Gaga also went live on her Instagram account where she spoke about the pandemic and all the people at the frontline and she got emotional. 

The concert will also be broadcast on NBC, CBS among other networks and will be hosted by Jimmy Fallon.
