Lady Gaga left her fans shocked on Sunday, March 27, after a video of her appearing to snub Caitlyn Jenner at the Oscars 2022 party went viral on social media. In the video, filmed outside the Elton John AIDS Foundation's 30th Annual Academy Awards Viewing Party in West Hollywood, Gaga and Jenner could be seen having a brief rendezvous before the former apparently cut off the conversation. 

The 72-year-old, donning a red skirt and black top, was seen approaching Gaga outside the party. After inquiring about Gaga's health, Jenner enquired, "Are you spending time around Malibu anymore?"

"I haven't seen you at the Starbucks in a while," the 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' veteran added after Gaga simply answered, "Yes." At the outset of her response, the 'House Of Gucci' star appeared embarrassed and stuttering. "Well, I've — I've switched baristas," Gaga muttered, flicking her head to the side and stepping away as if to indicate that the conversation was finished.

Jenner continued to try to terminate things on her own terms. "Well, good seeing you," she added, just as Elton John's husband David Furnish, who was cohosting the viewing party, exclaimed loudly, "Good seeing you, Caitlyn," to bring the conversation to a close.

A number of Twitter users mocked the awkward chat. "Gaga hiding from Caitlyn Jenner at their local Starbucks," commented one person, who uploaded a clip of Sydney Sweeney terrified as she hid in a restroom during an episode from the second season of Euphoria.

Another Twitter user added, "Lady Gaga telling Caitlyn Jenner she 'switched baristas' is an incredible way to say 'we are not friends goodbye' lmao."

A video of Oscars co-host Regina Hall flashing an odd smile before disappearing behind a wall was shared by another user. They joked about Lady Gaga spotting Caitlyn Jenner at Starbucks.

Another user wrote, "Lady Gaga in disguise trying to avoid a conversation with Caitlyn Jenner at Starbucks."

Emma Vigeland, a majorityfm co-host, posted a tweet that read: "Lady Gaga treating Caitlyn with thinly veiled but still polite and appropriate dismissiveness. We 'stan.'"
