The Italian gothic metal legends, Lacuna Coil, recently came out with a new music video for their track, 'Save Me'. The official music video is made up of footage of the band on their last European tour and contains some powerful imagery from their stage shows, as well as some illuminating insights into what makes the Milan-based metal titans tick. 'Save Me' is also a track from their latest album, 'Black Anima', which officially released in October last year.

As expected, the video features barnstorming performances from all the band members, including delightful twin harmonies from the two-headed beast that make up Lacuna Coil vocalist duo Cristina Scabbia and Andrea Ferro. Directed by Isabella D'Alessandro, the music video captures some epic, theatrical moments from the melodic metalheads as they go on tour, as well as some behind-the-scenes footage we normally wouldn't get to see. We get to peek at the band members doing their pre-show rituals, warming up, applying face paint and makeup, and of course, goofing off and relaxing on their downtime.

We also get to appreciate just how much the band members put into each exhilarating performance — the sweat, toil, and intensity is palpable in every single live show of this European tour. Just as exciting is seeing the delight and passion on their fans' faces, as they sing and sway along to the formidable, symphonic music. Considering a lot of the 'Save Yourself' music video features shots of their fans aka Coilers, it's clear that Lacuna Coil are immensely grateful for the support they've been receiving over the years. The band recently celebrated their 25th anniversary together in 2019, and also came out with their ninth studio album 'Black Anima' that same year.

Vocalist Cristina Scabbia said while their latest record is not a concept album, it was "definitely a story" and added, "It is very dynamic and every song makes sense within the record. It brings you through a lot of different moods." Her partner in twin-attack vocals, Andrea Ferro, also talked about 'Save Me', saying it was "about the fact that we all make mistakes, have struggles, and even regret things. But we are not those mistakes and struggles. We have the power to shape our day. The time is now."

And what better time than now to enjoy the latest gift that Lacuna Coil has to offer? We look forward to more delightful treats from the Melodic Metallers from Milan in the future!
